  Terribly Disappointed - Will not be returning ( Minus 5 Star )

  I booked a room at this Motel on the 9th Feb 24, I was staying in Armidale on Business a Business trip. As I have stayed at this venue several times over the past years I chose to continue to support this business.I will not be doing so in Future !!!!!I arrived later than reception hours, however I had rang prior and organized for a key to be left out for me.Upon arrival there were no parking places available, my room was near the front of the Motel and the only available parks were approx 60 Meters away at the back of the Motel.I phoned reception and advised that someone had parked me out of my allocated park for my room, To which I was advised that " We have random parking here, rooms do not have a car park associated " (In a Gruff Tone )With sciatic pain after a 14 hour day on my feet this was not something I was expecting, but I thought to my self "Just Deal with it".I went to the room, Single bed as Ordered, however there was no fridge for my cold water !!!! There was No air Con or fans in the room!!! It was literally hotter inside the room than it was out side. This was the deal breaker. Rather than call reception to again be huffed at, I shut the door placed the key in the returns box and went and sourced alternative accommodation at another Motel, where for $25 More than I paid for the Abbotsleigh Room, I secured a room with Air Con, and a ceiling Fan and god bless even a fridge!!!Unfortunately this has left me paying for two rooms as the booking.com room was non refundable unfortunately, but lesson learned. I will not be returning to this establishment.

  Good basic accommodation for the price

  Friendly staff and a good basic hotel. We got the budget room and were a bit taken aback by just how small the room was, but it had everything you need and as we were out and about most of the time it didn’t really matter. The only thing I really didn’t like was that the tv is awkwardly positioned in the corner on a rather rickety pull-out shelf - the pull-out shelf was a good idea to make it more accessible, but needs to be fixed up to pull out further and be more robust. Anyway not a deal breaker.

  First time in Armidale and this 3 star motor inn was ideal for an overnight stay. Off street parking, friendly welcome, close proximity to the main street of Armidale- walkable for dinner diningafter a long day of driving. All in all a pleasant stay and well worth a stop over.

  Travelling through Armidale we chose, from previous experience to overnight at Abbotsleigh. It certainly passes the C test; Clean, Comfortable, Conveniently situated and Cheap. Situated. On the highway, it is close to a variety of eateries, a supermarket, 2 hotels, and not far from the CBD.Book-in was warm and welcoming. An Information Brochure in the room would be handy.

  Stayed in budget room which is small but has all the basic necessities (except aircon, though it does have a large fan which is effective but a bit noisy).Bed was comfortable and shower worked well.Tv is awkwardly placed so you have to sit at far end of the bed to see whole screen properly.Location is good, close to shops, bars and eateries.
