    Great stay in the country.

    A great stay in the executive room. Room was clean and bar fridge stocked and at reasonable prices. It had all kitchen amenities eg toaster, kettle, expected of a motel but couldn't find cutlery other than teaspoons. However, recommend and a great location to walk to brilliant restaurants and cafes. Also, the restaurant on-site is now an Indian cuisine restaurant as opposed to the pictures.

    Beds were comfortable. Room and blankets were not clean, lighting and electrics and chairs were grim. Previous reviews here have cover most of our concerns. This hotel needs a lot of attention. We cancelled our booking for our stay on our way home again.

    The bed was big, clean and comfortable but unfortunately the only positive thing to say about this place. Restaurant was closed due to renovations. Room was terrible…stank and very dark so you couldn’t see. They had extra lamps but they didn’t work and wouldn’t have made a difference anyway. Shower doors broken with no toilet paper dispenser..toilet paper sitting on top of toilet. You can find far better places in Dubbo to stay for much better value.

    Dreadful Room

    This room was not fit for paying guests. Firstly there is 240V cable running along the carpet uncovered and up into a junction box hanging on the wall which is not only dangerous this is also highly illegal. The bedhead was designed for a queen bed and yet there was a king bed in this room so the bedhead was just broken away to fit the extra sized bed which not only looked ugly but also again exposed 240V cables running into a broken power point. The bathroom was mouldy, the exhaust fan wasn't working, the toilet roll holder was broken (the toilet paper was just sitting on the cistern) and the shower screen door was broken. The room was so dark that when we got back from dinner we had to use our phone torches to find things in our bags - there were two extra lamps in the room neither of which were working. I wasn't going to write such a scathing review as I emailed the Countryman last week with my concerns to give them the opportunity to reply but they have neither replied nor acknowledged my email. I realise that there are current renovations being carried out at the Countryman but they should never have leased this room to anyone let alone charge $135.00.

    This is the worst motel I have ever been to. The bed was comfortable and clean but the room and very skinny bathroom needed a deep clean. The grounds were unkempt and dirty. Couldn’t believe that I was in Australia, more like a Third World Country
