    Give it a Miss

    rating01 Jun 2026

Very disappointing stay.It seems this motel has been cutting costs at the expense of the guest experience. The restaurant has been closed, so there's no option to have dinner on-site, which is a major inconvenience, especially for travellers arriving late. The breakfast offering was equally disappointing. Rather than a proper cooked breakfast, guests are limited to a basic self-serve continental breakfast. Even worse, only instant coffee is included. If you want a decent coffee, you have to pay extra, which feels unnecessarily stingy. The biggest issue, however, was the cold. The entire property felt freezing. The tent-like structure covering the entrance and former restaurant area offers little protection from the winter weather, making common areas extremely uncomfortable. The corridors were icy cold, and while the rooms were just warm enough to get by, they were far from cosy.Overall, the motel feels like it's focused on reducing costs rather than providing a comfortable experience for guests. I won't be staying here again.

    DO NOT STAY HERE.

    rating31 Aug 2025

DO NOT STAY HERE. THE ONLY SAVING GRACE IS THAT THEY REFUND YOUR MONEY.I had an awful experience at the pavilion. I check in and get put in a cold, dungeon like room that was dirty and the tv didn’t work. I complained and got moved to another room, which the heating unit didn’t work and the only heater they had was a tiny radiator heater that did nothing to heat the room. Only streaming services worked on this tv, not normal free-to-air, and it was also dirty. The shower leaked, the water ran hot then cold then hot again. I then went out for an event I came to Wagga for, and when I came back at 12.30am my keycard wouldn’t work and I couldn’t get into my room. I had 6 people try, but the electronic lock was broken and I could not get into the room. I called the after hours number posted on the building and it rang to voicemail. I called 6 times with no answer, and left 4 voicemails none of which got replied to. I was lucky to have family in the area to stay with, but it’s completely unacceptable to have an after hours number nobody monitors. I came back in the morning at their posted open time of 8am and they were closed. Reception didn’t open until at least 8.30am. I got back into my room which was still cold, despite the heater being left on. I give this place 1 star because they refunded me but I wish I could give 0. Do not recommend. Do not stay here. Pavilion Manager , Owner at Pavilion Hotel Wagga Wagga, responded to this review COPIED RESPONSE FROM REVIEW LEFT ON OTHER SITEI am happy to read the staff were able to UPGRADE you at no extra cost and tried to accommodate all of your complaints while you were here. it sounds like they tried to help you as much as possible. With the upgraded room i do believe this TV staff did get going with Free-to - air before you had gone into that room and you and your mum were happy with the upgrade. With the key not working for your room at 12:30am but you were able to access your room at 8am, i am a little confused by this as it was the same key used which allowed you access. While the phone did miss the calls and we will apologise for this, the call was returned and advised that you had gone to stay elsewhere. the refund was provided as you had advised that you did not stay. At checkout there was also no mention of the issues you noted in your review- the shower/heater - we do not offer portable heaters so i am unsure where the one you had came from.

    Won't be Back

    rating02 May 2025

For the price we paid for a "deluxe queen" it was pretty bad. First a "surcharge" of $4 was added to the tariff in spite of the money coming out of a debit card not a credit card. Carpet was stained, only one chair on the balcony that overlooks the picturesque car park. Dripping tap in the bathroom. A couple of bottles of water would have been nice and signs threatening to charge us if we took the yucky looking hand sanitizer, and we had to wash our wine and water glasses, once again threatening to charge if we didn't.Never heard of at other motels, housekeeping usually takes these. No tea towel to dry said glasses only a terry hand towel from the bathroom. Bed not too comfortable and noisy fellow guests late at night but motel desk closed so no way to report this. In spite of it being a Saturday, coffee shop and bar were closed. Plenty of other motels in Wagga. Management and Staff, Owner at Pavilion Hotel Wagga Wagga, responded to this review Thanks, surcharge is the bank fee, unavoidable now! We dont provide bottled water however we have a fully stocked bar where you were welcome to come and buy some. Yes, there is a charge to clean dirty dishes as many guests think it is ok to pile them up and leave them with stale food on them, that is why there is a sink, dish clothes and soap for you to do them. Many hotels and motels charge this too. If you arrived after 6pm, yes bar and cafe were closed as it is only open during reception hours however you would have likely passed 4-5 bars and cafes all within a short walk from our location that would have taken care of your urge to have a beer and coffee!!Finally, thanks for the kind words.....

    Would stay here again

    rating28 Apr 2025

The accommodation at the Mantra Pavilion is first class, with the added bonus of being pet-friendly.All Members of staff were friendly and eager to ensure guests had a pleasant stay.As we stayed more than one night, a tea towel would have been appreciated as we had to dry dishes with a hand towel from the bathroom. Also, why would such a classy hotel supply very cheap, thin and nasty toilet paper?
