Had an awesome stay at Zoofari. Looked around the Zoo before staying overnight (as the weather wasnt going to be good after our stay). The staff were amazing, the room was lovely and well thought out. Had a lovely evening meal and breakfast.Thanks to Clare our tour guide who answered all our questions. review of Zoofari Lodge experience at Dubbo Western Plains Zoo.

My husband & I recently celebrated our wedding anniversary with the Zoofari Lodge experience. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed with the excellent organisation, which continued until we departed. The staff were, without exception, knowledgeable, engaging, professional, polite & passionate about their role. The facilities were excellent, from the beautiful lodge (where we ate) , complete with pool & firepit , to the lovely glamping tents which were spacious, comfortable & spotlessly clean. The food provided was African inspired, varied, plentiful & delicious. The tours, ( a 2 hour one on day 1, & a 1 & a half hour morning tour on day 2 were exceptional. All tours took us behind the scenes, which a normal zoo visitor doesn't see. The variety of animals viewed during these tours was extensive & varied. Our only disappointment was that we didn't book sufficiently early, to have a glamping tent overlooking the savannah (5 do not have this outlook) Our thanks & congratulations to the manager & her team on a wonderful experience, which we would thoroughly recommend. Great value for money, highly recommend. The tent was warm and well maintained, with amazing views of the savannah and animals right outside. There were way more animals than we expected.Our stay included three great tours, we got to interact with the animals and learn a lot, which gave us a real appreciation for wildlife conservation. The food was also great, and the itinerary was well organized and full. What an amazing experience! The view from the tent was great - giraffe, zebra, rhino. The accommodation was excellent as well and dinner and breakfast were wonderful! Staff were very attentive and helpful. The included excursions were great and gave a good insight into the workings behind the scenes of animal care.
