Super relaxing stay in Darwin

Loved this accommodation, we stayed in a 2 bedroom suite with lovely view, it was very well appointed and super clean, had every thing we needed. Great restaurant with yummy breakfasts and swimming pool for relaxing in after a hot day.Complex is close to Smith Street in a very quiet location, had great sleeps shame we were only here for 2 nights as in transit. Great apartment, great town, great time!!

Absolutely beyond my expectations, location is a little bit out of main strip, but easily walkable. Rooftop bar was outstanding, free snacks every night and live singing about 3 nights a week. Cafe was great and very reasonably priced, you could also get takeaway if you were leaving early for a tour. Furniture is dated, but beds are comfy and bathrooms clean. The location is perfect - quiet and views are great.The rooms are bland, with no curtains and only blinds - very cheap and unpleasant when you're paying $300 a night.The smell on each floor (I stayed there 3 times) is one of vomit - no idea where it comes from. The pool is great, and breakfast is great too.The reception staff are welcoming and the hotel is very clean.It's just very plain in each room, however it is well stocked with laundry facilities and cooking items. I wouldn't recommend staying at this apartment/ hotel.It is in the middle of nowhere and you have to get taxis everywhere. There is a free shuttle bus but it doesn't go to the airport. It does take you to the markets but doesn't pick you up. And it doesn't drop you at the front door of the markets, it drops you on a busy road that you have to negotiate to cross.Stay somewhere in the middle of the city where for 600 dollars a night you can be pampered. At this apartment you have to put out your own rubbish and do your own washing up. Waterfront, yes it is on the ugliest industrial area of the waterfront. On Thursday our plane arrived at 12:30 a.m. and we got to bed about 2 am. We were then woken by drilling at 8 am on the pool fence.On Friday morning we were woken at 2.30a.m with the fire alarm and an 3am evacuation. Then woken up again at 8 a.m. for more drilling. The Zen rooftop bar is lovely, the pool is great, Horizen Cafe has great breakfasts and the towels are lovely and soft.But not worth $600 a night. Worst holiday ever. All hotel and apartment buildings can be subject to residents setting off the fire alarm, and whilst we cannot control this we understand how distressing and exhausting this was. We also apologise for the drilling commencing at 8.00 am and acknowledge that the timing caused further inconvenience.For clarity, the hotel is approximately 550 metres from Smith Street Mall and close to the CBD, although we are not located within the Darwin Waterfront tourist precinct. Our apartments overlook Frances Bay and Darwin’s working harbour along with the city lights and fabulous sunsets.Our complimentary market shuttle is a drop-off service. Vehicles are not permitted to drive into the market precinct during operating hours, so guests are taken to the closest designated drop-off point. We understand that the walk and road crossing may have been difficult and regret that the free arrangements did not meet your expectations.As a self-contained apartment hotel, our rooms include full kitchens and laundry facilities, and guests are asked to wash used dishes and dispose of excess rubbish. We appreciate, however, that this is different from the full-service hotel experience you were expecting.We are pleased that you enjoyed the rooftop bar, pool, breakfasts at Horizen Café and the quality of the towels, but we are genuinely sorry that these positives were outweighed by the interruptions and that your stay was so disappointing.
