  Great location, great staff, friendly environment and would highly recommend Whale Cove as the place to stay when visiting Hervey Bay!

  We were left a bit underwhelmed with this stay. I didn't realise it was a share property. Residents renters and holiday . For me it just doesn't work. Always feels like I'm intruding. Plus so many body corp rules etc. The unit itself tho was spacious and comfortable enough . Clean . The pool was great. We did have a leaky air con unit . As it was the weekend there was no one to repair so lots of buckets of water were emptied. Monday came . No one came to fix as were meant to . At check out Tuesday no one seemed to really give a toss about it. For the price payed they can do better. The Front Ramada property is a better choice. Also a heads up for any smokers . No smoking anywhere on the property including balconies . Not a bad stay just expected better for the price .   We stayed here between Christmas and NY. There were 6 adults and 5 children across two apartments. Firstly the accommodation was perfect for us. Pool really big and great. Close to all the main parts of Hervey Bay.The main aspect which wowed us was we left a bag with kids clothing in outside our car and left. We then also realised that one of the children had left an envelope with all of their Christmas money in the apartment!We were about to ring when we found a message telling us the bag had been handed in and house keeping had brought the money to reception. Montana (and I think the gentleman was called Chris) we really helpful considering it was NY Eve. It gives you a lot of confidence booking a venue when the staff are so trustworthy and friendly.   Not the Ramada By Wyndham, but the Ramada Encore by Wyndham Whale Cove.

  This was part of our 'Great Sunshine Coast Road Trip'. Beware that there are two resorts with very similar names which can cause confusion like it did to me. The other resort is simply Ramada By Wyndam. When I did my research, I thought I was booking this resort but in the process I booked Whale Cove. Whale Cove is behind the other resort and much further away from the beach. We stayed in Unit 52 at the back of the complex. The apartment was spacious and very comfortable. The bedding was good as well as the amenities within the unit. We did not realise that we were on the 2nd floor without an elevator, so if you are elderly or have trouble using stairs, be wary. We were not informed about the 'no elevators' and that we could be on a high floor AFTER we booked and paid the money. The advice came in a very lengthy generic email that contained booking cancellations and everything else (my fault for not carefully reading that I would have to advise them if I wanted a lower floor, but there was no guarantee that they could supply one).

  We stayed in apartment 65, it was gorgeous! So well kept and it had a partial pool view. Be warned if you are arriving by Uber or Taxi that you need to check in at the main reception at the Ramada hotel side. Full thanks to the staff there who were so helpful and tried their best to assist when our K'gari trip was cancelled.The WiFi situation in the Whale Cove apartments is a bit annoying. Each unit has their own WiFi but there isn't any general WiFi around the complex or pool area.The location here is good though, not far from Urangan marina and there's a Woolworths not far away.
