    Good cabins, bad food

    The cabins are well set up and the plants are great but there's no pool.The Groovy Goat Pub Cafe was ok for lunch but when it came to dinner it was terrible.We both ordered the same (steak & ribs).The rump was cooked well but was chewy.The ribs were soft and tasty BUT when serving 2 meals the same to the one table, maybe consider the food being similar in size! My wife's ribs were twice the size of mine! I felt completely ripped off, only because it was my wife's birthday did I not complain but for sure I won't be back.

    Stayed 2 nights. Spotlessly clean, very comfortable bed, great shower, friendly staff, and perfectly located to go down and feed the dolphins in the morning.

    I travel to Tin Can Bay on at least three occasions each year. My choice for a wonderful nights rest, with all amenities available nearby is the Sleepy Lagoon Motel with the Lazy Goat restaurant and Pub metres away from your room. Steve always makes one feel welcome on arrival, and the clean comfortable cabins allow for a restful break.I highly recommend Sleepy's for a stay in Tin Can!Cheers Grandpar ;o)

    Our stay at Tin Can Bay's Sleepy Lagoon Motel was extremely disappointing. What’s advertised as a "motel" turned out to be a row of cramped prefab cabins (like shipping containers) located right next to each other, with barely two meters between my window and the neighbor’s. There’s absolutely no privacy, and every time the person next door moved, my entire unit would shake.Sleeping was nearly impossible – the air conditioning/heater unit was extremely loud, and without it, the room became unbearably cold. On top of that, the Wi-Fi was unreliable at best, constantly cutting out or not working at all.This was far from the peaceful stay we were hoping for. Definitely not worth the price, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for comfort or rest.

    We stopped at The Sleepy lagoon for lunch. All I can say is the share plate we shared ($25) was magnificent. Nothing more to say. Such a sensational meal…… come and try it. We travelled fromHervey Bay and would travel back again just to have lunch at the fabulous Sleepy Lagoon Motel.
