  Within walking distance to the beach and the main clubs, this is an ideal location.The living room is large, and the bedrooms have good hanging space. Very comfortable beds with one ensuit in one and separate toilet in the other. Good sized TV and adequate kitchen. Excellent pool with heated spa and BBQ area. Would definitely return.

  Stayed for 5 nights in a two storey 2 bedroom apartment and found it incredibly comfortable and functional. The amenities and property are clean and well maintained. The building and underground parking have secure resident only access and the location is central and within walking distance to parks, shops, restaurants and beaches. Highly recommended.   Location is perfect but disappointed with the dull, dark apartment on top floor with no elevator. Staff were pleasant.

  Disappointing apartment with unpleasant odour in the cupboards. decor is dated and not very well pointed. struggled with the 4 sets of stairs one had to climb to access apartment. Despite staff being pleasant, they did recognise the need for more essential items for cleaning and advised that there were 4 Cole’s in the location!   We had a ground floor unit which seemed nice enough when we first walked in but after heading straight to the beach for a few hours and returning to unpack everything (including a large online grocery order) for our week long stay found so much wrong with the apartment cleanliness wise. There was so much black mould in the main shower you felt cleaner out of it than in it! Skirting boards, rubbish in wardrobe, lamps and fans had not been dusted in weeks as there was a large layer of dust on EVERYTHING! Drawers in main bedroom were broken, small cobwebs in multiple areas on ceiling, tiny bugs on bedside tables and A large stain on one of the kids beds blankets, screen door kept falling off. When I asked to be moved that 1st night the manager said she could move me upstairs (which was a lot nicer and cleaner), but seriously she was rude, like I was being a hassle. There was no apology given that we had to pack everything back up and move upstairs. She did say the room was due for a deep clean (wtf). My poor friend then got given that same room the next day (as it was school holidays) and said it was only partially cleaner than the day before. Another issue I have with Bella Mare, apart from the general cleanliness, is that other friends were paying the same price per night and were given, clean, much nicer, some newly renovated units, it’s just complete luck of the drawer what you get ! For $300 bucks a night I expect much more. The spa and pool area is very badly lit at night which is a major safety hazard if you have little kids in there after dark even when supervised, it’s very difficult to see them.Then upon returning home, my credit card got slugged $50 for the supposed loss of 2 beach towels we had hired as I didn’t realise we needed to bring beach towels (and would have had I had known) which the kids, being kids, left in my friends room as we were there with a few families who had driven up. The manager did say she would refund the $50 if the towels were found, and after my friend said she noticed two beach towels in her apartment when she left the room, I asked for a towel audit between the rooms but they say the towels have never showed up! Apart from the excellent location to the beach, surf club and shops not a great review unfortunately, spend a little bit more money and go to the Mantra or one of the nearby apartments instead ! Some of your friends were allocated these newer apartments, but unfortunately, they were not available at the time your reservation was made.Regarding the beach towels, as outlined in our check-in letter, there is a charge for any not returned upon checkout. In this case, the item thought to be a towel was a blue and white striped cushion – we verified this when removing its cover to clean off a chocolate stain.We’re pleased to hear you enjoyed our fantastic location near the beach, surf club, and local attractions.   Disgusting conditions and zero customer service

  I had an absolutely awful experience staying at Bella Mare Coolangatta. The couch in the apartment had been urinated on, and the entire place reeked of an unbearable stench. It was clear that no proper cleaning had been done before my stay.To make matters worse, I tried calling and emailing management multiple times, and they completely ignored me—no response, no accountability. This level of negligence is absolutely unacceptable.If you’re considering staying here, think twice. There are plenty of other places in Coolangatta that actually care about cleanliness and customer service. Bella Mare is a disgrace.
