    If you want a clean and maintained property please look elsewhere.This accusation was not cheap and definitely did not life up to expectations.Lack of maintenance and care are clearly evident and boxes of food scraps remained in main hallways for the entirety of our stay.Spa bath was full of mould.The list goes on.

    We stayed at Oaks Gold Coast Hotel for an overnight trip to unwind and enjoy a relaxing short holiday. The location is excellent—very convenient and close to everything in Surfers Paradise. Having the tram right in front of the hotel made getting around very easy, which we really appreciated.The customer service was also great, and the staff were friendly during our stay. We arrived for a late check-in after spending the whole day driving around the Gold Coast.When we entered the room, we were quite surprised and disappointed because it looked different from the photos shown when we made the booking. The room appeared quite old and worn, and unfortunately it seemed like it might not have been used or cleaned properly for a while. We noticed several pests and cockroaches in the kitchen area, which was very unpleasant and unexpected.We were not able to raise this concern with reception at the time because there was a lot happening at the hotel that evening, including an ambulance attending an incident, and the area seemed quite busy. Because of this, we just left it as it was, went out for dinner, came back later to sleep, and then checked out the next morning.Overall, the location and service were good, but the condition and cleanliness of the room did not match what was advertised and for the worth we paid for the room which was disappointing which what was meant to be a relaxing stay.     Would not recommend this hotel Unfortunately this was one of our stays in a package deal from our Travel Agents.The room we had was large and spacious and had an amazing view from the balcony. These are the only positives.Room is dated, furniture old and needing replaced,. Carpets throughout which is not very hygienic.Dust on mirror frames, skirtings, and furniture.Had a damp and musty smell to the room.Even the lifts and foyer need a good clean.Maid service is non existing, unless you pay for it separately. Even the lifts and foyer are not cleaned daily ( or not at all in the 3 days we were there).     Absolute BEST staff, and perfect location, great view. Great stay

    My stay here was absolutely unforgettable from beginning to end and Rachel definitely deserves the full credit for it! I was welcomed by her with a warm smile in the morning - arrived early and she offered me to store my bag, then lovely Jesse gave me a call when my room is ready. My room was seeing the beautiful ocean, i watched the sunrise and sunset from my balcony. Room was perfectly clean and fresh. I honestly loved that a little bit of vintage vibes of the hotel room as well. The location is also absolutely perfect, tram stop is just in front of the hotel, so the transport was also such an ease here. Finally, again - Thank you Rachel for your incredible hospitality, you truly made me feel at home.     Rainy weekend but sunny staff

    Although we had a rainy weekend at the GC the staff were very accommodating , informative, and friendly. We were a little upset with the weather but our interaction with the staff turned our frowns upside down .
