Facility

    Not what I expected and to put it simply it was not worth the price - location was good for our needs and activities it is good that it’s close to the tram. I booked a rate with breakfast included but was told on the day we checked in that as I booked with a third party there would be an additional charge for breakfast. Room was very dated and average the view of the ocean we paid for was obviously blocked by other buildings but that is to be expected in surfers.     Very overpriced for a below average experience. Just an average hotel room. Housekeeping had obviously not replenished soap at the hand basin or in the shower, both were empty. Mould on the bathroom tiles. Receptionist the next morning was very helpful and apologetic and explained that renovations are about to commence. Little good that will do us, we wont be going back! She gave a us a voucher for a free coffee at the cafe which I consider a very poor trade off for a sub standard experience. Atrocious service and a terrible meal at the attached restaurant, Clifford's.     Not what we were expecting or hoping for. On check in there was no confirmation that we had paid for breakfast. We were offered a special bingo card, which was thoroughly confusing. There was no help with our bags. In the bathroom both the sink and shower were faulty. The queue for the breakfast was huge.     A friendly, modern hotel in a superb location

    Amazing! We stayed for 5 nights with family and young children and cannot fault the hotel. The check in staff were efficient and very friendly as were other members of staff we met. Nothing was too much trouble. The standard rooms are tired and in need of renovating and would definitely say pay the extra for the next level as a huge difference. The kids play area in the lobby was a big hit and hard to get our granddaughter away from it. Pools only used once and one is in shade and the other sun depending on the time of day. A few more sunbeds are needed too as seating is limited. The location is superb and only a few mins walk to the beach and shops/restaurants and the tram stops right outside. Breakfast buffet is huge and a great variety with eggs cooked to order too.     Very conveniently located along the tram line.

    We took the train from the airport and changed to the tram at Helensvale to Surfers Paradise. The hotel is just across the Surfers Paradise tram station. So it is very convenient. There are lots of shops, eateries, convenient stores along the street where the tram line is. Also the hotel is within walking distance to the beach. So in terms of location it is excellent. As it is along the tram line, we did take the tram to explore the other areas. Tram cost is very reasonable at A$0.50 and the ticket is valid of 2 hours, which allow you to hop on and off within this timeframe.We were given a room that faces the mountains with several condos and houses along a river. The view is really good particularly during sunset. Good size room and is clean. Comfortable bed and the room has the usual toiletries. We did ask housekeeping for shavers as these were to not provided.Checking in is efficient and staff is very friendly. The lobby is clean and comfortable, although we did not explore the lobby area until the last day, where we discovered a gaming room, which a few jackpot in one of the corners of the hotel.While we had a good stay, we did notice many other hotels nearby that may also be worth checking out.
