Location

This hostel/youth hostel warmly welcomes guests in Magnetic Island. For those in need of an adults-only holiday, it provides everything needed for a pleasant stay.

Facility

The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service, safe, cash machine and drinks machine. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hostel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. A lift and wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Additional amenities include a TV room, a playroom and a library. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage (for a fee) or in the car park. Further services and facilities include a car hire service, a laundry service and a coin-operated laundry. Active guests who wish to explore the surrounding area by bike will appreciate the bicycle hire service (for a fee). Bicycle storage is also available. Rooms

Air conditioning and a fan ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Guests can enjoy the sea view from a balcony or terrace. Rooms have a double bed or a queen-size bed. Extra beds can be requested. Guests will also find a tea/coffee station included among the standard features. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A telephone, a TV and WiFi are provided as well. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and a bathtub. Guests can also book wheelchair-friendly rooms with wheelchair-accessible bathrooms. The hostel has non-smoking rooms.

Sport

The indoor and outdoor pools are ideal for exercise as well as relaxation. Sun loungers and parasols are available on the sun terrace. The hostel offers outdoor sports, including golf, fishing and horse riding or, for a fee, cycling/mountain biking. Water sports enthusiasts can enjoy snorkelling and diving. Sport and leisure facilities at the hostel include a gym, billiards and bowling. At the hostel offers excellent facilities for leisure and relaxation, including an entertainment programme, live music, a dance club and a nightclub.

Meals

Dining facilities include a restaurant, a café and a bar. A continental breakfast guarantees a great start to the day. Special culinary options, such as diet meals, are also available. The hostel also offers special catering options.

    Good place to stay, staff very friendly, good atmosphere.Reasonably priced food, and comfy beds. Good location as well right by the sea and right outside a bus stop.The WiFi hardly worked in the rooms, and the bathroom and kitchen are very outdated, no where to hang your clothes in the showers and the bathrooms and kitchens felt in need of updating.     Would not recommend. Plug sockets in the middle of the wall so hard to use, can’t use for bed. No WiFi or service in the shack. Room flooded from the rain cause the door didn’t seal properly. Foot path to bathroom flooded so much it was ankle deep. 1 light for the whole dorm which made it dark and hard to see with the windows hardly providing much natural light due to the shape. You must have stayed with us during one of the days with heavier rain, which can sometimes unfortunately impact our walkways and the wifi connection to the rooms. Nevertheless, we'll pass your feedback on to our maintenance team for further review and improvements! We wish you a safe rest of your trip along the East Coast!

    Views were good with a good active party atmosphere and good food. However the rooms and bathrooms were outdated and quite frankly not fit for purpose. The beds were red with rust and rattling, very unsafe. During our stay it rained and due to the door not being fit properly it was flooding inside and the footpaths to the bathrooms were like rivers. They have one “renovated” room and the rest are completely neglected. The air conditioning broke and nothing was resolved during our stay. When speaking to reception they were very patronising and didn’t offer any resolution. The wifi doesn’t reach the rooms and you can’t get any signal. Overall an uncomfortable experience and I wouldn’t recommend. One star is generous. Magnetic I, at Nomads, responded to this review Hi Joss, thanks a lot for your feedback!
