Location

The hotel is situated right on the water's edge overlooking the Magnetic Island marina and adjoining ferry terminal, close to the hustle and bustle of this popular seaside destination. The Magnetic Island is also close to the World Heritage-listed Great Barrier Reef and only 25 minutes by boat from Townsville.

Facility

The complex has a lift and features 52 rooms. The reception desk is open round the clock. Amenities include a baggage storage service and a safe. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The complex has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. There are also a number of shops that make for great strolling and browsing. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Further services include a babysitting service, a childcare service, room service, a laundry service and a coin-operated laundry. Travellers with bicycles can make use of the on-site bicycle storage area. The business centre is on hand for guests' business requirements and provides a fax machine.

Rooms

Air conditioning and central heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. A balcony or terrace is among the standard amenities in the rooms. Rooms have a double bed, a queen-size bed or a king-size bed. Separate bedrooms are available. A safe and a minibar are also available. For self-catering guests, there is a well-equipped kitchenette with a refrigerator, mini fridge, microwave, tea/coffee station and dishwasher. The indoor and outdoor pools are ideal for exercise as well as relaxation. For guests who wish to keep active, fishing and horse riding are available.     Fantastic location opposite ferry terminal, great welcome very informative and we were given a map/guide of the island. Buses stop right outside the hotel so you can easily explore the island. Our room was beautiful overlooking the marina, spacious and well equipped.Stunning large pool and smaller, secluded pool.Great buffet breakfast.Food is served early in the evening and there are a few options nearby, we enjoyed a lovely meal at the SOS a fabulous, friendly fish bar. Beautifully cooked food, chilled glasses popular with locals too.Granite was another place to eat with great service and lovely food and staff.     Very nice hotel. Directly at the port where the ferry arrives. The food was very good. The bed is superb. The hotel is very clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful.The hotel has a lot of stairs, so disabled persons should ask for a room close to the elevator.     Needs a face lift to justify price.

    Poorly maintained for the price and some how forgot the meaning of customer service. Checked in however was not provided any map or information relating to our rooms location other than being told it was in block 10. Even when in one's own car there was no signs in the car park to guide you to block 10. No information provided either at reception or in the room about the facilities, dining etc. you have to look it up on the web. We had a self contained room however again no information on the appliances provided (for example went to use the oven but it wouldn’t work, there was a switch on the opposite side of the kitchen behind ornaments that needed to be on). Overall more effort is required at this resort.     Best decision to squeeze in a trip to Magnetic Island!

    Work led me to Townsville and I added an extra night to pop over to Magentic Island which, if i saw so myself, was an excellent decision. Peppers Blue on Blue is at the perfect location on the marina where the ferry comes in, and has all the services you would need. My apartment was huge, clean, with a great view and had all the ameneties you'd need if you were there for a week or more, not just one night. Highly recommend.
