    The location of the hotel is great and well positioned to access different parts of the island. The view on American River is also very nice, waking up to the chirping of birds and seeing koalas whilst on walks around the hotel is lovely. Staff at the hotel were very nice and welcoming. The room is a very good size. However, bathroom is incredibly old. It needs to be refurbished. Restaurant food is very average. Closing the kitchen by 8pm is not acceptable as some of the activities on the island means that guests aren’t back before 8/9pm.     We really loved the serenity of the resorts location...while not in the main town areas, as you need to drive everywhere on KI, it's not an issue. We were impressed with the new rennovations to what is a lovely older resort foundation. While our room was only half renovated (bathroom to be done) it was well appointed. The treats and little extras was a lovely gesture and most appreciated. The restaurant rennovations have been done well. Our meal at the restaurant was exceptional and really of 5 star standard. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend staying here!!
