    Great stay at the Adina

    Enjoyed a very pleasant stay at Adina Queen Street. The reception team provided faultless service, making check in and our overall experience seamless. Our apartment style room was spacious and comfortable, which is always our preference, and we were lucky to have one with a balcony.While the TV and a few appliances were a little dated, it’s clear upgrades are already in progress. The location is excellent, with plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby, making it easy to explore the area. We would happily stay here again.     Stayed here while travelling internationally with our infant and unfortunately the experience was quite disappointing. We had specifically booked a room with a baby cot, however no cot was set up upon arrival and when one was eventually brought to the room, we discovered it had an extremely hard base with no mattress. While the hotel later explained this complies with Australian regulations, this was never communicated beforehand and came as a surprise for a week-long family stay.What made the experience worse was the inconsistent communication from staff. We were told different things by different employees regarding possible solutions and pricing for a rollaway bed, with the cost changing multiple times throughout the discussions. We also had to repeatedly follow up ourselves rather than receiving proactive updates.The management team was polite in their responses, but overall the situation was handled poorly and created unnecessary stress during our stay. The location is good, but the customer service and communication significantly impacted our experience.     We spent three nights at the Adina Apartments in Queen St Melbourne. Our apartment was very spacious, quiet and comfortable. The apartment included an adequate desk space for working if needed. The kitchenette was suitable for our three night stay although didn’t have much cooking equipment. However with so many eateries in easy reach it wasn’t an issue. Located a couple of blocks off the mall with a tram stop around the corner, we were within easy reach of all we wanted to see and do. I would happily stay again.
