    Run down and dirty - and that is just the beginning. The door to one of our rooms was broken at the hinges and did not close, the air conditioner was broken and the room smelt old and musty. We found old wrappers shoved under the lounge. How this hotel is allowed to operate with broken smoke detectors is beyond me. The staff were rude and did not provide clean towels on request. The one good thing about this is its situation, but we did not feel overly safe. Do yourself a favour, go elsewhere for a safer, cleaner and cheaper hotel.

    I have stayed at this hotel many times in the past and have recommended it to friends and family, but unfortunately the accommodation has really deteriorated over the last couple of years . I stayed with my 2 boys in a 2 bedroom apartment on the fourth floor.The first thing we noticed was the dilapidated condition of the hallway and the musty smell in the room. We had trouble opening the door (evidently due to damage from previous tenants) and we had to move to another room. There were stains on the bed sheets, there is no breakfast available anymore, and the whole place looks and feels run-down.The location is fantastic, however we will now be looking at alternate accommodation when staying in Melbourne. Noise is also a problem on weekends due to the laneway that runs alongside the building.

    Situated near Southern Cross Station this is a great mid range priced hotel. We arrived early and they held our bags whilst we explored Melbourne and had them in our room when we arrived back. The room wasn’t large but was comfortable and had a sink, microwave and fridge if you didn’t feel like eating out. There is a lounge downstairs and a small cafe. For the price this is a great hotel and would definitely stay here again.

    We paid a whopping premium because of the Grand Prix being on. 400% above normal rates. For that you get a dirty, dated 2 bedroom apartment that is barely big enough for 2 people. The bathroom was literally 2 metres by 1 metre and that includes a shower. Shower door was cracked. Poorly maintained and just old. On a positive the bed was comfy.

    Filthy. Have been staying in this hotel for years and staff were great! New owners now and service was disappointing. Goods stolen from our room by staff who were forced to return them after Police were involved.
