Location

The hotel is ideally located on the banks of the Yarra River, opposite the Crown Casino and Entertainment Complex. The hotel is only 20 km from Melbourne's International Airport. The hotel is in the heart of Melbourne's business district, just a short stroll from the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre, Melbourne Aquarium, Chinatown and the vibrant Southgate dining precinct. Flinders St. train station is in the immediate vicinity.

Facility

78 suites and 42 studios are located on 19 storeys and can be reached by lift. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities available at the apartment hotel include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. Additional facilities include a TV room. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park (for a fee).     A bit noisy and tired.

    Our room was a 'suite' in that there was a separate kitchen area with fridge, cooker, microwave and washer dryer so that was very good and we did use the washer which worked well, albeit VERY slowly - about 6 hours to do a small wash and dry. But the bathroom and bedroom were very small. Staff were extremely good and breakfast was fine, so why only 3? Well, the hotel is situated extremely close to the railway line so it's very noisy late at night - I couldn't have slept without my trusty gel earplugs. And the whole hotel feels very tired. So a grade of Average feels about right.

    The best parts of this hotel are the location and the breakfast. The location allowed us to walk or take a tram to everywhere we wanted to visit. The team working the breakfast were kind and the food was great. The rest of the place needs work. When we arrived to our first room, the AC wasn’t working and although maintenance came quickly, it took an hour to diagnose the issue and help us to move to a new room which had good AC. In the second room the drapes fell from the ceiling in the middle of the night and when we went to tell the desk the next day, their reaction told me this was a regular occurrence. The noise from the trains is loud and regular. Our closet was in the kitchen area. The instructions for the washer/dryer are for a different model than the one in the room. The front desk team didn’t acknowledge us as we went through. Overall a strange and average stay. With so many choices, I’d say somewhere else in the future.

    Would certainly stay here again if we come back to Melbourne. Got a room with an amazing view looking over the yarra river.Watched a lovely water display each night.Our room was actually a suite with everything you need including a washer/dryer.Comfy bed, lounge, kitchen. Very spacious. Breakfast was very nice with an egg station, greeted every morning with lovely people. Definitely stay here again.

    Wonderful hotel and very well positioned, especially if you have the river view location! Very good breakfast. We could see the Christmas Water Display- was fantastic!
