Units include 86 non-smoking rooms located in a 4-storey main building and a 3-storey auxiliary building. The reception desk is open round the clock.     Clean, spacious accommodation. Everything you need. Great views. All staff very friendly and helpful. Perfect, convenient location just near Luna Park, Palais Theatre, transport, an abundance of restaurants, shops, plus right near Acland Street, Woollies, Coles, theatres, nightclubs. Easy trip via tram into Melbourne. The perfect location. Already planning our trip back next year. Reception staff wonderful.

    Poorly maintained and poor services

    We stayed at the **Cosmopolitan Hotel from July 22 to 26, 2025**, and unfortunately had a disappointing experience.We were given room **C030**, which was right next to the tram line where it curves—resulting in loud noise every time the tram passed. Despite requesting an upper-level room and being told it would be away from the tram, this wasn't the case.The room had **only one heater** located in the living room, leaving the bedroom cold. When we asked to change rooms, we were denied unless we **paid for an upgrade**. Instead, housekeeping delivered a plug-in heater—but entered our room without knocking. We also discovered that the door had no latch or chain lock meaning anyone with a key could enter. We resorted to blocking the door with a sofa, and the front desk confirmed this was the case for all rooms did not object to the sofa blocking the door.Additional issues included:-bathroom window that wouldn’t fully close-we had to seal it with towels.-cracked toilet seat, which pinched when used.-Visible mold in the shower and sink areas, and we had to adjust shut-off valves to get hot water.-Uncleaned counters with crumbs left behind, and a chipped glass was simply put back in place.- We even found a long-lost TV remote behind the sofa.Overall, the room was poorly maintained and didn’t feel secure. Disappointed with both the condition and services.

    Great Value and Location but don't expect 4 Star luxury

Check was quick and professional with the staff member giving all the information we need about the hotel and directing us to our roomRoom -Size was very good with 1 king bedAir conditioning FridgeTVWifiTea and Coffee making facilitiesBasic décor inside with a very large L shaped desk, wardrobe and two basic bed side tables. Desk and wardrobe didnt really seem in keeping with the vipe the hotel was going for mind you and didnt match the room really, seemed more 80s/90s office/hotel room.Bathroom -Was basic as well with - ShowerCracked wash basin Vanity mirror and unitToiletHairdryerRoom and bathroom were clean and comfortable, although not 4 star or deluxe. For the price though you cant complain. Just don't expect 4 star luxury. Ideal location for all the attractions around St Kilda and a good base for exploring Melbourne as a whole. If i was staying in St kilda again i probably would stay here due to the price

    Good location and reasonably priced but the room was dated and in desperate need of refurbishing. My room had filthy window sills, lumpy uncomfortable bed and was old and tired. But like how I felt waking up!Great staff on reception and easy check in.

    We stayed at the Cosmo for 5 spells in Dec/Jan and had a great experience. We had a 1-bed apartment which was very roomy and good value. It is well situated off Acland Street and the staff were very helpful. They allowed us to leave our luggage there when we were away for periods. Bits of it look a bit tired but it is clean and everything works. We would stay there again if in Melbourne.
