  Customer service experience was average. Reception staff Gurpreet was extremely unhelpful with adding our IHG member points. We booked 2 rooms.... also no soap in the bathroom

  Stayed for one night with my Dad and brother when we were doing a trip to Werribee Open Range Zoo and needed somewhere local. Apart from the reputation of the Holiday Inn name (having had very positive experiences with them in other locations) the location is in a great spot in terms of amenities. There’s a great pizza place and a bubble tea shop in the same block as the hotel. If you don’t want to pay for breakfast in the hotel, there’s a McDonalds directly across the road. Additionally, there’s a Coles and Direct Chemist Outlet in the next block plus an assortment of takeaway and dine in options.The reception is staffed 24/7 and the staff I dealt with were lovely, especially Pia. When I had trouble adjusting the room temperature and setting the air conditioning to cooling mode, she had it adjusted to my preferences from reception before I even returned to my room. The check in and check out process were also very efficient.With the rooms, we had adjoining rooms. I had the king bed room to myself; the boys had the other room with twin beds. The rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable. There were ample power points for devices. Additionally, there were good lighting options around the bed so I could read (with the main lights off) and didn’t have to get up to turn out the main lights. The reasons I didn’t give 5 stars:- The shower - the door opened inward, which made it hard to run the shower without getting right in. I prefer to run standing outside until I’m happy with the temperature and to avoid being scalded.- Shower door - there’s a gap under the shower door, which meant the water runs out under, saturated the bath mat and flooded the area around the toilet. I had to use one of the towels provided just to try and absorb some of the water leaving me with only one bath towel. Which brings me to my last point;- Towels were very small better suited for a young child or to lay on the sand at the beach rather than drying one; I needed two but having had to use the other one to dry up the water, I had to make do with one tiny towel which wasn’t very pleasant.- Lack of microwave in the room to heat up a heat pack for neck pain

  We recently stayed at this property as a family of four (2 younger kids) in a high-level double room as we were visiting the Zoo. This hotel is lovely and bright. It still feels quite new and is very clean. The location is central, and parking ($25 per night) was easy on the 3rd floor of the complex. Our room was compact but fine for one night, with a decent sized shower. It was well appointed with clean furniture. The reception staff were lovely and quick to action a request for enough towels for our whole family. We had a good stay but won't stay again for 1 simple reason...the comforters/beds are too loud!! Every time someone in our family moved at all during the night, the crinkle crinkle was too much - we slept terribly! It was really unclear what exactly was causing all this noise but as soon as the lights went out for bedtime we remembered our last stay! Sorry, Holiday Inn Werribee, we'll need to find somewhere where we can actually get some rest!

  Unexpected modern hotel in a satellite suburb of Melbourne. Not sure who the target markets are but we stayed for business as it was a reasonable cost and easy access to both Geelong and West Melbourne.It's a Holiday Inn but could easily be rebranded as a Crown Plaza.Had a room on the top floor, quality, neat, clean, great bathroom(Air Con didn't adjust so I turned it off) - breakfast spread started at 7am and was excellent. Gym was small but functional. Restaurant was also excellent with a wide selection of foods for different tastes. Great wine list as well. (My only minor gripe is that I saw a really interesting item on the Bar Menu and asked for that as entrée and they said "no". Same kitchen - 2 metre location difference lol)Friendly staff.If I had the need, would stay again.

  On-site parking on level 3 was good. Check in on level 7, rooms are above that. Room had everything I needed. Bed was comfortable, shower was excellent. Good hair dryer. Spacious room. Breakfast had lots of options. Would definitely stay here again.
