    I booked the YEHS very last minute but everything was ready when I arrived. Staff were very welcoming and friendly, can’t fault them. The room was a clean but a little dated. The hotel could do with some modernising but overall a great place to stay for a couple of nights.

    Honestly it wasn't too bad for the price. Everything largely worked: beds were clean, toilet was clean, fridge was working, air-conditioning was a little slow to cool the room but did its job, bedside lights flickered a little, but the biggest problem was the shower head in our bathroom. Water flow was really small and temperature was difficult to adjust, so we informed the reception and they got maintenance to fix it within the day. The water flow got better (still quite small) but the temperature of the water just couldn't be adjusted to something that wasn't scalding hot or ice cold. We made do with the bathtub tap. If you don't want to deal with this, just pay a bit more and stay at a 4 star hotel.

    Dirty, but did the job for a night

    I stayed here for one night after messing up a flight and was a bit tight on cash so was a cheap option. Just needed an affordable bed for the night and it did the job, however certainly wasn’t perfect. Stains on the walls everywhere and blood on the bedside cabinet. As well as this, the toilet seat was extremely dirty, so much so that I had to go downstairs to use the bathroom, and the smell in the corridor was pretty dreadful. Saying all of this, the staff were helpful and attentive and if you need somewhere to sleep for a night, it was affordable for such a good location
