The hotel is located on Hawke Street, at the heart of Melbourne. The Etihad Stadium, formerly known as Telstra Dome, Melbourne City Baths, Old Melbourne Gaol and the State Library of Victoria are some of the popular attractions of the city which guests may wish to visit.

Facility

Guests have a choice of 40 rooms. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Services such as a baggage storage service, a safe and a drinks machine ensure a comfortable stay. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. Rooms

Air conditioning and central heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. A balcony is included as standard in some rooms. Rooms have a double bed, a queen-size bed or a king-size bed. Separate bedrooms are available. Children's beds and extra beds can be requested for younger guests. A safe and a desk are also available. Additional features include a refrigerator and a tea/coffee station. A direct dial telephone, a TV, a radio and WiFi (no extra charge) provide all the essentials for a comfortable holiday. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and a bathtub, as well as a hairdryer.     Great but beware no lift

    Wonderful apart from lack of lift.this is a cheap price hotel that offers a great deal for the price and location. Was very basic but clean and comfortable with lovely towels. Also provided milk and tea coffee in the kitchenette. Only drawback is lack of lift so arriving at 1 am with two very heavy suitcases wasn’t ideal. Not helped by the young guy on reception smiling and saying it will be a good workout for me!! Not impressed. Other staff excellent helpful and smiley.     We knew this was a budget hotel so didn’t hold much expectation for it.Disappointed is an understatement of this establishment. My sister and I had a 3 night stay here and had no space to move about, as the room was tiny as was the bathroom. there was nowhere to store our suitcase, and the fridge and tea/coffee making facilities were incorporated in the tiny wardrobe area.The carpet was so old and moved when the suitcase was wheeled on it making it difficult to move about. We were on the first floor and there is no lift so had to carry out cases up the stairs which was difficult as we are not the youngest of women.I am unable to comment on the kitchen facilities as I did not use them.On the plus side, the staff in were very nice and the location of the hotel is excellent.     I always love staying here

    The Miami Hotel is my place of choice when staying in Melbourne. It may not be an expensive flashy hotel, but the staff are great, there's a kitchen and laundry and the location is great - just a ten minute walk to Queen Victoria Market.It's a two minute walk to North Melbourne shops and restaurants and there is virtually no noise from outside.Will be back.

    It’s regressive step to a pseudo backpackers lodge except more expensive. Basic modern necessities like a place hang clothes away from coffee jug, privacy - conversations can be clearly heard between rooms, space for a normal suitcase, air conditioning control very cold has to be switched off maybe by design, tiny constricted spaces, ad hoc room cleaning - expectations and experiences have to be lowered considerably although the price doesn’t seem align with the facilities being offered.

    This hotel was FANTASTIC! Honestly, location is good because you’re within walking distance to a train and tram. The staff is especially nice at the front desk. They were incredibly helpful with simple requests. They also have a laundry room, which was helpful for me ($4 AUD/ load). I know it says no elevator, and I was worried about that. However, the hotel is only 2 floors. And mind you, I had between 2 people 3x 25 kg suitcases, 2x 15 kg suitcases, 2x large backpacks, and smaller bags. As two relatively not-strong people, it was fine. You can’t beat the price. The rooms and bathroom are nice. And the staff is great. Definitely consider this for your Melbourne stay if you’re on a budget.
