TERRIBLE customer experience - They advertise and sell things that dont exist.

    rating04 Apr 2026

I booked a family-themed room a year ago, specifically requesting a certain theme. Before booking, I called the hotel to confirm this was possible, and was told to note it as a preference and call the day before to confirm. I followed the instructions, called the day before my stay, and was told the room I specifically booked had been given to someone else. When I escalated the issue to a "manager," he not only denied that I was misled by their staff, but also berated me for making an "unreasonable" request. He confirmed that if I hadn’t called to check, I would have shown up to find out the room I booked wasn’t available.Let me be clear: they’re selling something that doesn’t actually exist. Why advertise themed rooms and let people choose a preference if they’re not actually available? For any parents planning a special themed stay or celebration, do NOT book here if you’re after something specific. They don’t honor your requests, and the communication is all over the place. Add to that a manager (Rojan) with some of the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced, and I’d seriously recommend looking elsewhere. I doubt anything will be done to fix this, but I’m sharing this to warn others who might be considering this hotel. Stuart L, General Manager at Pegasus Apart'Hotel, responded to this review Dear W7206ZMjent ,Thank you for sharing your feedback. We aim to provide memorable experiences in our themed family rooms, and we regret that your recent interaction did not meet your expectations.Regarding the booking of our "Family Themed Room" category, we would like to clarify for all potential guests that while we encourage theme preferences, these are recorded as requests and are subject to availability. They are not a guaranteed room allocation at the time of booking. This prevents us from displacing guests who are already mid-stay, as happened during your scheduled dates when the specific room was occupied for a long-staying guest. Our team spent time on the phone explaining this policy and exploring alternatives with you. While we understand the frustration when a preference cannot be met, we maintain a policy of mutual respect. We do not tolerate profanity or verbal abuse toward our team members, regardless of the circumstances. When it became clear that an alternative themed room would not be acceptable to you, we offered a full, penalty-free cancellation as an immediate resolution so you could secure alternative accommodation that met your specific needs. We wish you the best in your future travels.Sincerely,StuartGeneral Manager

    Comfortable near flagstaff

    rating15 Mar 2026

This stay is our gateway to Melbourne , for our first visit . this was the first stay we stayed during our australia trip , loved every ounce of it . Comfortable 2 bedroom apartment for our family , it was tidied every day by their fabulous staff . So our apartment was neat and ready each day when we returned from outside .There wasn’t any spectacular view though . But comfort and easeness made up for it. Breakfast was sufficient and staff was welcoming .We are even planning to stay here again for our upcoming trip and booked. Looking forward. Stuart L, General Manager at Pegasus Apart'Hotel, responded to this review Dear 185sankare,Thank you so much for choosing Pegasus Apart' Hotel as your "gateway to Melbourne" for your very first visit to Australia! We are delighted to have been a part of such a special trip for your family. It is wonderful to hear that our 2-bedroom apartment provided the comfort you needed and that our housekeeping team made such a positive impression. I will be sure to share your kind words with our "fabulous staff"—they take great pride in ensuring our guests return to a neat and welcoming space every single day. While we may not have the highest skyline views, we are so glad that the convenience of our location near Flagstaff and the warmth of our team made your stay enjoyable. The greatest compliment we can receive is a return guest, and we are absolutely thrilled to hear that you have already booked your next stay with us! We look forward to welcoming you back "home" to Pegasus very soon.Safe travels until we see you again!Warm regards,StuartGeneral Manager

Good place to stay in Melbourne CBD, but would look at different options on another visit.

    rating09 Mar 2026

We were visiting Melbourne for the Formula 1 Grand Prix and therefore struggling to find a reasonably priced hotel due to the high demand over the race weekend. We chose The Pegasus as the cost was acceptable although it appears the price was approximately double their usual rates. Also, it was fairly close to Melbourne Central Station, where I had read this was one of the places to catch the free trams to Albert Park for the Grand Prix. The apartment was spacious with a comfortable bed and good air conditioning. The WiFi was good and we were on 15th floor, which was quiet, but could do with some updating. The hot breakfast was very good, but felt fruit options were lacking.Overall an enjoyable experience, four stars due to the inflated price, which I accept business is business. Stuart L, General Manager at Pegasus Apart'Hotel, responded to this review Dear David ,Thank you for choosing Pegasus Apart' Hotel for your visit to Melbourne during the Formula 1 Grand Prix. We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback from Norwich! We are pleased that our location near Melbourne Central provided convenient access to the race circuit and that you enjoyed the spaciousness of your 15th-floor apartment, the air conditioning, and our high-speed WiFi.Regarding your comments on pricing, we appreciate your understanding of the high demand during one of Melbourne's busiest weekends. Like many hotels in the CBD, our rates do fluctuate during major international events to reflect the extreme demand, and we are glad you found the cost to be an acceptable value compared to other options. We also value your constructive feedback regarding our breakfast selection and the aesthetic of the rooms. We are currently looking at ways to enhance our fresh fruit offerings and are planning phased updates to ensure our decor matches the high standard of comfort our guests expect. It was a pleasure to have a fellow racing fan with us, and we hope you might consider staying with us again—perhaps during a quieter period—to experience our standard off-peak rates and updated amenities.Warm regards,StuartGeneral Manager

    Trip type: Friends getaway

    Great location. Very comfortable.

    rating07 Mar 2026

We stayed here for four nights in February. Originally there was going to be 3 of us staying, female friends, all requiring our own beds. We booked a 2 bedroom family apartment but didn't realise it was a themed room until we were asked what theme we wanted. It didn't matter as long as we had our own beds. Then only 2 stayed but a bedroom each was great. If we had children with us they would have loved it. The apartment was great, 2 bedrooms, bathroom, living, dining and kitchen area. Good, comfortable beds. Very clean. The only downside was we could smell food when we went in the room. The family before us must have made use of the kitchen. We didn't use the amenities. They advertised happy hour every day in the bar and the restaurant was quite a large size. We had breakfast 2 mornings which was good. Hot and cold food was on offer at a cost of 25 AUD per day. It was a 15 minute walk down to the river from the hotel. Very convenient. Near lots of restaurants and shops. The hotel seemed popular with families but was quiet. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Weighing scales for luggage were In the foyer. Good value for money. Stuart L, General Manager at Pegasus Apart'Hotel, responded to this review Dear patb912leeds,Thank you so much for taking the time to share your detailed feedback following your February stay at Pegasus Apart' Hotel. We were delighted to host you and your friend from Leeds! It is wonderful to hear that our two-bedroom themed apartment provided the comfort and space you were looking for. While the themes are certainly a hit with families, we find many groups of friends appreciate the flexibility of having separate bedrooms and a full living area. We are also glad you found the beds comfortable and enjoyed our breakfast and central location.Regarding the lingering food aroma you noticed upon arrival, please accept our apologies. As our apartments feature full kitchen facilities, guests often enjoy cooking their own meals; however, our housekeeping team strives to ensure every room is fresh for the next arrival. We will certainly look into our ventilation and cleaning protocols to ensure this is better managed moving forward. It was a pleasure to have you with us, and we hope to welcome you back to Melbourne again soon!Warm regards,StuartGeneral Manager

Lots of little issues + a gross mattress

    rating21 Jan 2026

The two-bedroom unit was much as expected on initially walking in. However, it was the little things that would stop us from staying here again. Some examples: - Stained mattress, covered with a single thin mattress protector and a flat sheet that didn't tuck in. Quite gross, really. - The rubbish truck woke us every night. - Our primary-aged child couldn't move the tap in the bathroom to turn it on.- Bathroom/toilet door closed with a 1cm gap and can't lock. - 2 of 4 bedside lamps not working. Though one did decide to start flashing a 4am one night, so maybe it responds to power surges? There were other little things, like the lift cards not working properly. We got the general feeling there was a lack of maintenance being done and small corners cut to save money e.g. no dish brush. If you can handle the stained mattress and have no other options, it's a place to sleep, but I'm sure there are cleaner options! Stuart L, General Manager at Pegasus Apart'Hotel, responded to this review Dear LozNZ1,Thank you for providing such a detailed account of your recent stay. While I am glad the initial impression of the two-bedroom unit met your expectations, I am sincerely sorry that the maintenance issues and the condition of the mattress marred your experience. Please accept our sincerest apologies for the frustrations you encountered. We pride ourselves on providing a seamless experience, and it is clear that on this occasion, we fell short of our standards.I have personally shared your feedback with our Executive Housekeeper and Maintenance Manager to address these points immediately:Bedding & Hygiene: We are investigating the mattress in your specific unit as hygiene is our top priority. To clarify our bedding standards, we utilize a triple-sheeting method rather than fitted sheets. This is an industry-standard practice for superior hygiene and durability, while also supporting the health and safety of our housekeeping team.Maintenance: Regarding the bedside lamps, these are touch-responsive models; however, we are checking them to ensure they are functioning correctly. We are also currently looking into the bathroom door and tap issues you mentioned to ensure they are easier for all guests to operate.Amenities: We are reassessing our kitchen provisions to ensure our guests have everything they need for a comfortable, self-contained stay.Regarding the noise from the rubbish collection, we understand how disruptive this is. Unfortunately, city services and their schedules are outside our direct control, though we do empathize with the frustration this causes. We value your feedback as it helps us improve. Warm regards,StuartGeneral Manager
