  Simple but neat with some unexpected events

  Room was neat and tidy if not somewhat strange in the layout. You have to close the bathroom door to get your towels and navigate your way around the toilet to open the shower door. I would have gone for 4 stars except the fire alarm went off at 2am, there was an active kidnapping in progress and someone got their head smashed over a toilet seat while we were standing waiting for the fire department to clear the building. Whilst it isn't entirely your responsibility, perhaps try for one less kidnapping and I'll give a better rating.

  worst experience ever, spoiled my holidays

  the sofas are the worst and dirty i have ever used. can literally see a lot of stains from a long time and have never been washed. outdoor furniture in the balcony is worst and can clearly see that its all rusty and has never been cleaned or taken care off.

  Filthy hotel and room. Had mould and water damage to curtains and blinds in room. Smell matched. Bathroom was also poorly cleaned. The place is dark and dingy. Very loud at all hours of the day. Nothing like the website images to be honest. We ended up moving hotels the day after arriving. The staff were lovely to deal with though. Run!   2 nights going solo with a walker......

  You could rate this accommodation as fancy mid range, with excellent access to local shops, supermarket, restaurants, cafes, DFO, Highpoint SC and Westfield Airport West SC. There is also a reassuring Medical Centre a few doors down. Being midway between Tullamarine Airport and Melbourne CBD, these apartments are very good value. Reception closes at 8pm, but the locked box process beside the entrance door is not difficult. There is a spacious lift that goes from the underground private carpark to the 3rd floor. I had no problem with my walker and luggage. My room was on the front corner of the building, overlooking Bulla Rd roundabout on west side and Coles Essendon carpark to the north side. Had a great view of the trams and Keilor Rd. I chose the one bedroom apartment, and had ample space for moving around. Bathroom was particularly spacious, enough room to swing a cat. I even had a balcony extending from the bedroom, facing westerly. Because of the handy position of my accommodation, I found Uber transport to be quite reasonable for my budget. I found Essendon to be a friendly and safe place to stay, whilst travelling solo, as opposed to residing in or near the CBD. Don't let Google maps fool you, places are really not that far apart in the suburbs. The trams will take you to Airport West in the north (a few blocks walk to Westfield shops) and all the way to Flinders St. Station in the south (passing Vic Markets and through CBD along Elizabeth St). I only stayed for 2 nights, but managed to get my fair share of the shopping bargains and good scrumptious food that Melbourne is well known for. The lady at reception was delightful and answered all my questions in a helpful way.   Guest apartments are well-liked by visitors

  The prominent Grand Hotel was converted into guest apartments, which are well-liked by interstate and international guests. Punthill Essendon Apartments are located at the North Essendon roundabout, access to the City of Melbourne is easy by car or by the 59 Tram. Access to Melbourne Airport is convenient. The Punthill Apartments are quite luxurious; costs are affordable. North Essendon has many coffee shops and eateries; the Lincolnshire Arms hotel is across the road; its dining room is excellent.
