    Car Towed Despite Registering at Check-In

    I checked in and completed the vehicle registration form at reception. I was not clearly told a parking permit needed to be displayed or that my car could be towed.Later someone complained about the bay and reception immediately told them the car wasn’t a guest vehicle without checking the registration forms. When I asked why they collect regos if they don’t check them, I was told “there are only two of us and we don’t have time.”When I asked to see my form it was found within 30 seconds, clearly showing my registration — but by then my car was already being towed and I had to pay $660 to release it.The hotel later offered $200, which doesn’t come close to covering a situation that basic verification and clear communication could have easily prevented. Very disappointing.

    Close to free 35,86 & 30 tram stop. Check in, was an absolute delight! Apartment has perfect location and a great overnight stay. Decent size space for longer stays. Must admit reception for TV in Bedroom did not work properly. Only stayed overnight, so did not worry about it (Room 509) Sufficient shops at ‘The District’ to satisfy your needs, if not, easy to tram it to DFO. Will stay there in the future, for longer period.

    We had a lovely 10-day stay at the Sebel Docklands. The rooms were clean, comfy, well-serviced and had a great kitchen. The 25m lap pool and gym in the building allowed us to work out daily. Julia at the front desk was a pleasure to work with and extremely helpful. We will be coming back!

    Unexpected…..I highly recommended the Sebel to my friend, who I was sharing an apartment with this time, after I had a great stay there previously. We booked an apartment 12 months in advance.My friend flew in first, and I arrived the day after.Here is the unexpected part…our apartment was not in the Sebel docklands building. Apparently the Sebel had recently acquired two apartments in the building nearby. While this apartment building was only built in 2021, it had an industrial theme, no air conditioning at all in bedrooms (I did see a pedestal fan and fan heater in the wardrobe if that counts!), a couch which had small tears in it, and some red stains on coffee table!As it was absolutely pouring with rain, it made getting coffee and breakfast from the cafe at the Sebel a bit unpleasant. It felt like we were staying in a private rented apartment. Not the Sebel.
