Facility

The apartment complex has a lift and features 135 apartments. English-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Services such as a baggage storage service, a safe and a drinks machine ensure a comfortable stay. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The complex offers various facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available.     Location was great, room appeared nice but was dirty as other reviews have said unfortunately. Booked specifically for the pool and spa on offer but was closed down and had no water in either and was not told about that at all until I arrived and saw a sign on the door. Couldn’t access the gym either because our keycard wouldnt work for it, there was a sign on the gym door saying they were having issues with peoples keycards not working and to contact the owner but only between the hours of 10am-1pm which we only stayed one night and check-in isn’t until 2pm and check out is at 10am so if you’re only saying 1 night you can’t contact the owner at all which is ridiculous. Contacted the owner anyway but days later and they still didn’t respond. Unprofessional and they need new cleaners as our room was dirty to the point the table wasnt even wiped down and had crumbs all over it.

    The Online Check In system via code did not work. Fortunately I managed to tail someone into the foyer. Be aware that they never have anyone at the front reception. It basically operates as an Air B&B. Reception via the phone starts at 10am and probably finishes at 2pm. Otherwise there is an outside answer service that can’t help. When I finally got hold of someone the code for the lockbox in the foyer for my key did not work . Someone had to physically deliver my keys. The bath was filthy with mould and stains. The toilet brush did not have a handle and had to be changed. There was no Chux wipes to wipe down the bench and was told it was out of stock. The toilet seat was terribly scratched and peeling and wobbled. Only one lift out of the two worked. The air conditioning system really did not work and subsequently a fan was provided for the room. Full instructions to operate the washing machine was not provided. The machine is not straight forward. The only thing going for this place is the location, otherwise it’s run down. I have stayed here many times before and although raised issues nothing is done. This time with no front desk reception or baggage drop till check in and problems with access it’s the last time I’ll stay there. As mentioned, the location was the only thing going for me but the last trip there and issues broke the camels back. I’ll not be going back.

    Urban Apartment was extremely clean and well looked after. The apartment was comfortable and had everything I needed for my stay. It’s located right in the heart of the city, which made getting around very easy. Overall, a great place to stay and I’d happily stay there again.
