    Where can I buy some sanitiser!?

    Having stayed at the Kingsley on a few occasions and been quite happy, I was looking forward to our stay on the 26th April.Checked in ok , went to make a cuppa and the mini bar fridge was unserviced and had other products left in it. Went to have a drink out of a glass ....filthy , all of them! Phoned reception who said they would change room for us . Looked after by a pleasant Italian receptionist who took us up to a higher floor. In the room I immediatley checked the glasses which again were filthy(god knows what the cup are like) My wife checked the surface in the bathroom and wipped it with a wipe, it came up black!! This was done in the presence of the receptionist who said she wouldnt want to drink out of the glasses. In way of compensation we were offered breakfast, however if this is the standard of hygiene this hotel runs I would NOT be eating there. I didnt want a freebie I wanted what I paid for,a clean bedroom !It does not matter if an establishment looks ok if a high standard of hygiene is not achieved it most certainly won't get my buisness!!Even had to ask for a bathrobe!Obviously there are issues in housekeeping!Love to have a chat with the GM !

    I recently booked a stay at the hotel for the honeymoon of my nephew and his wife. They were in Australia for a few weeks, staying at a number of good hotels. They rated their stay at the Kingsley as their best.     Stayed one night with my teenage nephew, very comfortable Twin room -nice and modern and clean. We enjoyed the breakfast upstairs (great views!) and loved that it was a buffet as well as a la carte.     Nice but lacks facilities

    The hotel is centrally located in an old council admin building known as the Roundhouse. There are huge windows everywhere which is lovely in the rooms, and even better in the top level bar and restaurant.The architecture is impressive but the circular structure is very limiting. The bedrooms are small (with a lack of places to store clothes). The toilet is separate to the bathroom ✔️ but the only mirrors are in the bathroom ☹️We were surprised that the hotel could be marketed as five-star when there are no extra facilities such as a pool, gym or multiple restaurant choices.We found the staff to be adequate but not over helpful. One evening the 4 of us went to the bar and, despite many empty tables without reserved signs, we were directed towards a high-chair table on the basis that it was ‘the only one available’.     Room poorly serviced, ugly carpet stain

    Crystalbrook KingsleyNewcastleRoom not properly serviced, large grey/black stain1037795335Recently I stayed at the Crystalbrook hotel in Newcastle, after seeing it advertised and looking for somewhere to stay for a couple of nights, so my 2 Pugs get used to their new sitter and I had only ever driven through Newcastle, thought, why not.Many things were not right with this one hotel, valet process very disorganized, bathroom not restocked, no where to put the soap, fridge not restocked, room service stopped at 10:30pm, my room service curry was lukewarm and looked like none of the curry was actually cooked together and reheated, but what appalled me the most was a huge grey/black stain (rest of the carpet is a gold colour, no pattern ) near the side of the bed, which given the marks on the carpet, looks like the fridge may have been there and they changed the room around. I complained about it the following morning.Hotel management have just responded to my last complaint and said they were very sorry and staff should have explained better. It’s not a huge ugly grey/black stain, it’s the carpet pattern - that only occurs by the side of the bed, nowhere else. I have suggested to the writer she go and look for herself and attached my photos.
