    Presidential apartment fabulous.

    rating17 May 2026

Had a few nights in the Presidential apartment which you can’t fault. Large spacious apartment with 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms plus a guest toilet, laundry and lovely large outdoor balcony taking in views of the bay. Check in was a little underwhelming. The reception staff were not at all friendly until payment was made for the Presidential apartment then Bailey was polite. Being handed a map of where to park and no help offered with luggage etc was a bit of a step back. It wasn’t easy finding our way around the resort in the beginning and entering our pool area and other facilities through the back of our undercover car park isn’t appealing at all. When you’re paying over $400 per night your apartment should be serviced at least every 3 days not once if you stay more than 8 days. Also possibly being charged a cleaning fee if you don’t remove your own rubbish. We couldn’t find a rubbish disposal area anywhere in our resort building. This is just basic service when you leave not for the guests to do. The main pool area definitely needs a paint job. I would stay here again.

Surprised to see those other reviews. Our waterfront one bed (216) absolutely spotless. Great check in. Great facilities. Awesome staff. Our 10th stay never had any issues. 100% recommend.

    Not good enough

    rating07 Mar 2026

Booked 2 nights in a 'WATERFRONT DELUXE' room. When we were given our room key we were directed to the middle building. We were given a 'Water view' room. Went back to reception and advise I think we have the wrong room, they said no that a waterview room, I explained and showed them my booking that said waterfront room. She showed her boss who was standing near by and they both walked into the staff office. On return they advised that the aircon in one of the waterfront rooms wasn't working and we had been given this room instead. Apparently they over booked and couldn't move us. They offered us a $100 credit to use at restaurants and a small jar of lollie!! -What an insult.NOT GOOD ENOUGH. we got a $25 credit from Luxury escapes but no bottle of wine or chocolates that was part of the package. Disappointed and upset would be an understatement!!! I believe Ramada could of and should of done better!!!!

Ramada Shoal Bay is a disgrace

    rating01 Feb 2026

We stayed for 3 nights in apartment 205 which was simply a disgrace. Upon entering the apartment there was a musty smell and we subsequently found the following issues as shown in the pictures attached: (1) A spare bed propped up against the wall in the living room. (2) A lounge so filthy and stained that you did not want to sit on it. (3) carpet worn and threadbare especially near the door to the verandah. (4) a light switch with stains running down the wall. (5) water dripping from the air conditioning duct onto the bedroom carpet. (6) mould throughout the bathroom shower area. The only two good things about this property was the check in which was very good and checking out which did not come quickly enough. It is hard to understand how a hotel brand such as Ramada could put their name to such a property in this condition.

Disappointing experience - very tired apartment

    rating15 Jan 2026

We spent 5 nights at the Ramada Resort Shoal Bay. First impressions were good - easy checkin with assistance with luggage to room. Great view of the water across the road. However, the one bedroom apartment (H107) is very tired. The kitchen tap is loose, the clothes dryer stopped working, the air conditioner was very difficult to adjust, the shower smells bad and the wardrobe has rubber falling off the door. For a 5 night stay there is no room service.
