Location

The property is located only 200 metres from the town centre and only a short distance from the beach and mouth of the Murchison River.

Facility

The resort has a lift and features 38 rooms. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a drinks machine. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The resort has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The complex has wheelchair-accessible facilities. A number of shops, including a supermarket and souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Additional amenities include a TV room and a library. Parking spaces are available to guests travelling by car (no extra charge). Other services include a babysitting service, medical assistance, room service, a laundry service, a coin-operated laundry and a hotel shuttle bus. Bicycles can be kept in the bicycle storage area. Daily newspapers are available for purchase. To assist guests with their business and communication needs, the business centre offers a fax machine.

Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning and central heating. Guests can enjoy the garden view from a balcony or terrace. Rooms have a queen-size bed or a king-size bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe and a desk are also available. For self-catering guests, there is a well-equipped kitchenette with a refrigerator, microwave, tea/coffee station and dishwasher. There is also a washing machine and an ironing set. A telephone, a TV and WiFi (no extra charge) ensure optimal comfort. The bathrooms have a shower, a bathtub and a whirlpool bath. A hairdryer is also provided. As a special feature, bathrooms are also stocked with cosmetic products and a selection of towels. Guests can also book wheelchair-friendly rooms with wheelchair-accessible bathrooms. The resort has family rooms and non-smoking rooms.

Sport

The pleasantly heated water of the outdoor pool area guarantees comfortable swimming. Comfortable sun loungers are available on the terrace. The wide range of activities offered at the resort ensures that there is something new to do every day, including cycling/mountain biking, golf, fishing and horse riding. With windsurfing, canoeing, snorkelling and diving available, fans of water sports will have plenty to choose from. Sports options available to guests include aerobics or, for a fee, a gym. A wellness area with a spa is available in the complex.

Meals

Dining facilities include a restaurant, a café and a bar. A continental breakfast buffet and lunch are served every day. Diet meals and children's meals can be prepared on request. The resort also offers special catering options. Alcoholic beverages are available.

    A great place to stay in Kalbarri

    We stayed 4 nights at Kalbarri Edge Resort and thought it was great. We had a 2-bedroom spa apartment which is a 1-bedroom apartment with adjoining door to a self-contained studio room. It was all very spacious and well appointed, great for two couples or a family. Ours was upstairs with a private balcony looking out onto bush which creates a nice setting, with the shops and bakery close-by. There was air-con in every room but also screened windows and doors so good for whatever season you are there. The beds were comfortable, we had a full sized fridge/freezer, a small dishwasher, hotplates and microwave. The TV was a good size and we had lounge seating for 5 people. We had a starter pack of two sachets of dish-washing detergent and 2 packets of dishwasher powder which was plenty for our stay.There was wardrobes and lots of shelving and bench space in the bedrooms. The main bathroom had a spa bath and also a washer, dryer, and laundry sink. Body wash, shampoo, and conditioner were provided in dispensers. So really it had everything we needed and was very comfortable and convenient for our holiday, and the staff were lovely.

    We stayed 5 nights in a Two Bedroom Spa Apartment. The accommodation was very good. The apartment was clean and the bed was comfortable. The apartment was quite large, with a good size main area, separate bedroom and the bathroom was quite large. The bathroom included a washing machine and clothes dryer. The outside balcony was large with a good BBQ available, which we used. The second bedroom, which we didn’t need, was a self contained studio with beds for 3 people.

    My wife and I stayed at the Kalbarri Edge from 9th February to 15th and also February. Our first stay was extended by Cyclone Mitchell preventing us from going further north. Everything about our stay was superb. The accommodation is light, airy and well equipped. The pool is clean with plenty of sunbeds and the whole resort is in great shape.The greatest asset that this resort has is its wonderful staff. From the moment we arrived at reception through the difficulties caused by the cyclone and at all times throughout our stay the team at Kalbarri Edge were simply brilliant. They were humorous, informative, helpful and very kind. Nothing was too much trouble.As for the restaurant. This is an experience not to be missed. The food is simply first class. They had introduced a new menu during our stay and we sampled various dishes from it. It is fine dining at its very best. I had probably the best steak I have ever had and the fish is delicious. The service is excellent. During our second stay the restaurant became unexpectedly busy as it was Chinese New Year. Despite this and with limited staff the standards did not drop. The food and service remained excellent. The maitre d’, a Brazilian lady, is excellent providing great food, service and attention with warmth and an obvious pride in the service she provides.Thank you so much to everyone at the resort reception who made our stay so special.

    Just What I Needed

    My son and I stayed two mid-week nights, visiting Kalbarri and surrounds with one of his friends. We didn't dine in what looks like the pretty little on-site restaurant, but will try it next time because the accommodation was top quality. Not a swanky up-scale resort, but one wouldn't expect that for the reasonable in-season prices. Rather, the kind of place we took our son when he was a lad. It's family friendly, with a pool, beach within easy walking distance, including what looks like a gentle, tyke-friendly lagoon, and on-site dining if you want it. The resort is ideally situated amidst other attractions and amenities - there are a few other restaurants in the area, vehicular traffic is low and low-speed, there are day trip possibilities to national parks (Kalbarri National Park is amazing), and a world heritage (stromatolites!) site up in Shark Bay, among other things to do. Resort specifics - the front desk staff were delightful - personable, helpful, and knowledgeable of the area. Totally charming. Our room faced the pool and parking, but was quiet nonetheless. It was very clean (a shout out here to service staff who know their business), up-to-date furnishings in a comfortable family room style, big screen TV for watching a bit of the Olympics at night, roomy shower, and mini split for AC and heat. AC worked fine, but the compressor emitted several different noises as it engaged and disengaged, making it hard to adjust to its rhythm when trying to fall asleep. Adjust I eventually did, and my son's ear plugs made it a non-issue for him. Enough of an issue to mention, not to ding the 5 star rating. Didn't try the pool, but saw a group of people enjoy it, including what seemed to be a poolside meal. So, kudos all around for location, friendliness, comfort, cleanliness, value, amenities, and charm.     Very comfortable apartment in beautiful Kalbarri

    We chose a one bedroom apartment, and were given an upstairs unit as requested. It was well but simply equipped, the verandah with view over trees and little creek was a bonus. The bed was comfy, kitchen quite adequate, bathroom fine though a fraction dated with corner spa bath which we never use anywhere. There was a shower, and a very handy washing machine. Overall, the stay was better than expected and is recommended. Kalbarri is great
