  Best place to stay on Norfolk Island

  Just had our third visit to Norfolk Island and have stayed at the Coast each time. We have stayed in different levels of accommodation each time and the last one was at Niau Cottage which was fantastic. We cannot fault the Coast in every requirement to enable you to have a very affordable and faultless holiday venue. Raewyn and staff look after every one of your needs from booking in to when you depart. All the units have everything you need and more. The rooms are clean and comfortable with views overlooking the Ocean and islands one of the features. Located in a quiet part of the Island but a short drive into Burnt Pine and Kingston. You can easily get to the restaurants, or you can eat in yourself contained facilities. The central Boathouse facilities are also available if you prefer to eat in. Every one of our stays at Coast have been fantastic and hopefully we will have the opportunity to have a fourth visit.

  A great stay on Norfolk Island

  Our Niau cabin was an ideal location as we looked over forest trees and could see the ocean. It was very relaxing and very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well supplied with cooking options. The location was quiet and not far from town. A car was supplied with our deal. Norfolk Island is small and very hilly so a car is essential.

  Absolutely beautiful coast, with some great views. We lived on fresh as fish. We really did have such a very nice holiday on the island. It has a population of 2000, and everyone is trustworthy and friendly. You leave keys in the car, house unlocked and wave to every passing car and person.

  The Governors Lodge has self contained cabins. You can purchase full meal plans which include Breakfast, Lunch and 3 course Dinner with morning tea and afternoon tea snacks. Great value. We had a hire car which is great for self drive outings. The only bad part was the rain for 2 days. It was a bit cold most of the day and night. The bus tours on the island are worth the money. The Fish Fry, Ghost Dinner and lantern walk and Commandants Dinner and Show were excellent. Shopping was ok but prices were a bit high. (Milk 1lt $14 but alcohol is cheap) Heaps of Bounty history and nice locals. Flights were good and with Qantas.

  Heavenly place on a heavenly friendly island paradise

  Cam here many years ago with my mother here with my daughter when it was Ponderosa. It is such a beautiful setting with a lovely spacious comfortable 2 bedroom unit , wth internet access and a pool and a lovely garden room with BBQ’s. A car is necessary to make the most of your stay, with all the opportunities of guided tours, and self drive options, swimming and snorkelling, surfing, birdwatching , great walks and the history of the brutal convict past and that of the mutineers is graphically on display and told.
