    Lovely Motel right opposite Longreach Train Station

    Really nice motel and very convenient to the train station. Our room was spacious and had recently been done up. Bed very comfortable and huge (king size). It is a short walk to the RSL or Birdcage hotel for a meal or drink, (unfortunately the onsite restaurant is not currently operating.) It's an easy walk to the town. We would happily stay here again. There is an onsite pool. There is onsite parking.

    Longreach Motor Inn - Not what it is advertised to be!

    Longreach is a major service centre for north central Queensland. The town is also an important stopping point for travellers driving in all directions. The accommodation we experienced was second rate. We had booked a Standard Queen Room and paid $197 for that room. However when we were allocated a room we were provided with a small double room at looked really tired and probably had facilities that reflected 1970's rooms - this was a disappointing stay. Reception was uninterested in ensuring we had a stay that would mean we would choose to return. We wont!

    Executive Queen Suite nice name but not that. Room small. No cupboard and small hanging space near microwave. Cleaning not good. Mould in shower and used dental floss from previous guest on floor in bathroom. Daily service on offer but they don't change sheets or check dispensers of hand wash, shampoo or conditioner. Way too pricey for what you get.

    Highly recommend when staying in Longreach. Staff were friendly and accommodating. We were very thankful for the shuttle service to the various attractions and also back to airport at the conclusion of our stay. They are conveniently located near Longreach Station which we found a bonus as we traveled there on the Spirit of the Outback train and were able to walk to the hotel. Harry’s Restaurant was fantastic. In particular, I loved duck meal. Went twice and both nights were great.

    Could not fault the Longreach Motor Inn in Queensland. Rooms were impressive and clean, the beds very comfortable, meals in the dining room very exceptional, staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms on the ground floor had a rear door which was very handy. Sommer Davies, Owner at Longreach Motor Inn, responded to this review Thank you for your wonderful review Dennis.
