Basic decor, but very good value and amenities

    rating07 Jan 2026

This hotel will not win any awards for decor - it is very basic, Ikea type furniture with thin carpet and washout colors (grey, beige) - but it is extremely functional, quite spacious, and value priced. The rooms have the basic facilities including fridge , microwave and dishes. The bathroom is good with both bath and good shower. All the amenities are provided, though this is the first hotel i've been to in a while without pump dispensers (other citadines i've been to in the past three years have all abandoned the single use disposable toiletries)There is no gym on site but i am told you can access Snap fitness 24/7. there are two sets of washers and dryers on different floors. They provide detergent in the form of a sheet which you just put in. the laundry is thus free, a very convenient plusthe location is pretty good. Just two blocks from the main shopping and dining streets, walking distance to RAC arena, train station, and Elizabeth quay area. In fact i only took the bus once. while there. My one complaint was that most of the rooms seem to face inwards into the courtyard. You can't see a soul or anything from the street (Not that there's so much going on in perth on the weekends). It's a bit disconcerting. At least you can see the sky but nothing else! I won't hesitate to book here again if i have to return to Perth. Sarah, at Citadines St Georges Terrace Perth, responded to this review Dear Pamarx, Thank you for your detailed review. We really appreciate you taking the time to share such balanced feedback. We are glad to hear that you found the rooms spacious, functional, and good value, and that the in room amenities such as the fridge, microwave, and bathroom facilities met your needs. It's great to know that the complimentary laundry facilities and detergent sheets were a convenient during your stay, as well as the 24 hours access to on offsite gym nearby. We also appreciate your comments regarding our decor and toiletries. While our focus is on providing sustainable, comfortable accommodation, we are happy to share that we are gradually transitioning some of our rooms from disposable toiletries to refillable big bottle amenities as part of our ongoing sustainability efforts. Thank you for highlighting our great central location and easy access to shopping, dining, transport, and key attractions.Regarding the inward-facing rooms, we understand this can feel unusual for some guests. As we are located in the heart of the city, our view is generally limited to the surrounding buildings or street. We will certainly note your preference for future stays, and please rest assured that alternative room options may be available subject to availability. Our team is always happy to assist with room preferences wherever possible. We are pleased to hear you would not hesitate to stay with us again and we look forward to welcoming you back with an even more comfortable stay in the future!Kind Regards, Nicca and Team

Dingy room with paper thin walls

    rating02 Jan 2026

We have stayed at other Citadines which were great. However, spent one night here on arrival in WA.The room was well used, carpet and furnishings were disgusting. The walls are thin and we had people next door talking till 2am, we could hear it all as plain as day.Would not return, not worth the price when there are many other options. Jacky Gallardo, General Manager at Citadines St Georges Terrace Perth, responded to this review Dear MsVietnam, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are very sorry to hear that your stay did not meet the standards you've experienced at other Citadines properties. We sincerely regret the condition of the room you were allocated and the disturbance you experienced due to noise from neighboring guests. This is certainly not the level of comfort or cleanliness we aim to provide, and your comments regarding the furnishings, carpets, and soundproofing have been noted and shared with our management and housekeeping teams for review and improvement. We appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention, as your input will help us identify areas where we need to do better. We hope to have another opportunity to welcome you back again with an even better experience.Kind Regards, Nicca and Team

    Room 607

    rating06 Aug 2025

The hotel is a little old and the facilities are basic. The room was cold even though we switched to heater mode. No tissue boxes or stationary provided. Housekeeping was good, but they didn't vacuum my room during my 4 nights here. Location was not too bad. A great polace to stay in Perth

    rating11 Jun 2025

I picked this hotel for our weeks stay in Perth, due mainly to the reviews I had read, and its location. It was a very good choice. Checking in was very simple, and quick. Staff on the desk was excellent, always had a minute for a chat every time we came in and out.. Room was very good, clean, comfy, and quiet. Shower was excellent.. The location is excellent, within waking distance for many of the local attractions, and the free transport was brilliant. Many great coffee shops within a stones throw, and places to eat in the evening. The laundry was very useful, as we were on a months holiday around Australia and the Far East. Also having a fridge, for milk, beer, orange juice etc was a bonus. As with many hotels now, lack of cupboard space is always an issue. Great value for money hotel. Jacky Gallardo, General Manager at Citadines St Georges Terrace Perth, responded to this review Dear alisdairt,We are very happy that overall, you enjoyed your stay with us, finding the room to be clean and comfy with an excellent shower and having a kitchen and common launderette in the premises for your convenience. We are very much pleased to read your feedback as this motivates the team to continuously delivering excellent service each and every time. We are very happy that you did enjoy a comfortable stay with us whilst visiting Perth and we do hope to welcome you back to Citadines St Georges Terrace again soon.Kind Regards,Jacky Gallardo
