    Great beds and service

    Service great, buffet breakfast full of options, Bircher muselie yum and made to order omletts 👍 rooms spacious and beds comfy. A little tired and carpet throughout very stained and worn 😳 don't want to guess beside my bed. Room next door never slept so that was a bit tiring but overall a great stay. No convenience store near I could find so just a heads up if you need something.

    DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! I can't believe how terrible the crown has gotten. They don't even supply water for goodness sake! They have like chanels on the TV, the spa is room tempurature, the indoor pool is full of pee, and the the outdoor pool is basically an ice bath. Wanted to try the water slide for fun but it was annoyingly closed for the weekdays which was terrible. The room had 2 big beds but only included breakdfast for 2 so i had to pay! There was weird scratches in the sink and the room didnt feel very clean. It was loud at night from the casino. The staff were a little friendly but slightly uninterested, and it was very crowded by the pools.

    We did a staycay here for a long weekend and it was OK. The pool area is a highlight with plenty of space and options. The poolside food and drinks are good at the expected price point for Australia. The rooms are OK but quite dated. Our safe didn't work, the fridge liner had come off, and as per other reviews the lighting on the panel next to the bed is far too bright. We went through various restaurants within the complex which are great but be prepared you may spend more on dining than the accommodation itself if you have a good time. We will be back but go in eyes wide open.

    Avoid rooms on the atrium

    There’s a major problem with the Metropol - the rooms with a view over the atrium. Initially exciting, dramatic and classy, the sheer volume of noise that enters the room borders on torture. Take one of these rooms only if you plan to party until after the party.
