    I had a very disappointing stay at this hotel. For $250 per night, I expected basic comfort and cleanliness, but the room did not meet those standards. The room was not clean enough on arrival, which made the experience uncomfortable. There was no hot water during my stay, which was a major inconvenience.There was also no drinking water provided in the room, and guests had to go downstairs to get water, which was not convenient at all. In addition, basic toiletries such as toothbrush, toothpaste, and shampoo were not provided.Overall, the stay did not meet even basic expectations for the price paid, and it was not a pleasant experience.     Ok, not a 4* property as advertised & in desperate need of renovation

    Property is definitely aged and in need of renovation. My first room, a Classic Twin, was very basic. Small table barely big enough for a laptop, hard static chair, no coffee machine. Would have been ok for a budget traveler for a night or two, but as I was staying a week I requested to change rooms and the front desk were very amenable. My 2nd room, a Privilege Room in the East Tower, was better but was the standard I was expecting from the room I had booked. The room had several maintenance issues and some surfaces had a fair amount of dust. I sure these rooms were once nice, but now in desperate need of renovation.Location was great, a short walk into the city. There's an awesome place for breakfast just over the road.The gym facilities were aged but functional. Sadly I didn't have time to try the pool, but it appeared to be heated.I would stay again if traveling on a budget, or only staying for 1 night Liam Pratt, General Manager at Mercure Perth, responded to this review Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback following your stay at Mercure Perth.     Outstanding customer service and true hospitality

    On 9/4/26, my wife and I were due to check in for one night as a connect to the remainder of our honeymoon. Ultimately, we had a booking incorrectly made by Flight Centre that we could not physically make and upon arriving realised this. The 3 various staff members, one in particular, greatly assisted us when we did not have an actual booking for the day we were there. The team gave us fast and helpful info for times and bookings for a ferry to Rottnest Island (even booked it for us!) when we weren't actually guests. We would like to ensure our gratitude is passed on as this was during a real moment of stress and tiredness after around 30 hours with no sleep! Thank you so much!     What a Dump - AVOID!

    Simple. It’s a dump. - Rock hard bed. Super uncomfortable. - Hair on the floor when I checked in. - The room was mostly dark because therewasn’t even a lamp next to the bed. - No bottled water. - Very daggy and outdated. - Nothing redeeming about this hotel. - Do yourself a favour and avoid.     Basic Rooms Good Location.

    The hotel is one of Perth’s older establishments, and it shows in many of the public areas.Rooms are basic but comfortable. `I recommend booking a room in East Tower, with views across the city to the Hills and individual controlled air conditioning.A minor irritation was no pen and notebook in the room,surely should be a standard item.Overall, good location and value for money.
