The female staff in the cafe are nothing less than accommodating and should not be there the female so called manager is just rude and unaccommodating for long term guests however the male staff have been out standing and I take my hat off to them

    Memorable Weekend Stay.

    rating05 May 2026

Enjoyed a lovely weekend stay at the resort, room 209, bright and with good views over the pool and garden area. Spacious and with all relevant amenities supplied. Pristine condition, comfortable cosy bed, the sheets crisp, the doona light and sleep inducing. Warmly greeted by reception staff, thorough explanation of facilities and suggestions to help make our stay comfortable. All staff encountered during our stay went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. Great location and facilities. Restaurants reviewed separately.

    Absolutely disgraceful.

Avoid staying at The Vines Ellenbrook. The property is in serious need of an upgrade—it feels more like a tired motel than a hotel, and the rooms are extremely basic. Our experience was unacceptable from start to finish. After a long drive, we were left waiting 45 mins past check-in, only to be given a room with an unbearably strong chemical smell caused by a leaking air conditioner that had soaked the carpet. Staff admitted the room should never have been allocated, yet no concern was shown for our health despite visible respiratory distress. The chemical was so strong that I was coughing quite violently. I have reported this to the relevant authorities. We were then left waiting again with no communication, only to be told the hotel was fully booked after another hour. The only alternative offered was an unsuitable off-site apartment with a sofa bed, which we were essentially told to accept or leave. No real effort was made to resolve the situation, most of the afternoon was gone by now and customer service was poor throughout. We were expected to be happy with this arrangement with no compensation offered, not even a drink.Across from us sat a couple who had been married at the hotel several years previously who had arranged baby-sitters and driven several hours to spend their wedding anniversary at the hotel. They were told the hotel was full even though they produced evidence of the booking. The overall atmosphere of the hotel was disappointing—run-down facilities and unmanaged noise and behaviour around the pool made it far from the relaxing stay we had planned. Children were running around in groups vandalising hotel property and raising hell unsupervised. We were given a refund but when you’ve spent money on hairdressers, clothes, fuel and had the weekend arranged for months a refund just doesn’t cut it. We might as well have stayed at home! After many extremely frustrating emails with Accor’s “customer service” (who just forward your complaint back to the hotel) the manager was apparently “pleased to offer” us a 50% reduction on any future booking. We wouldn’t go back there if it was completely free! Not a chance! The manager also stated that there was no fault with the customer service at the hotel - if this is what they call good customer service then you’ve been warned! Based on this, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

    Perfect family staycation

    rating06 Apr 2026

We had the perfect family stay at Novotel Vines Resort! It’s so close to Perth—just a short drive—but somehow feels like you’re a million miles away in the best possible way.The amenities are fantastic, with the mini golf being a huge hit and the heated pool getting plenty of use. The rooms are fab, and the restaurant was lovely, especially with live music on Saturday night which made it feel extra special. The grounds are absolutely stunning, with beautiful vines all around and even kangaroos roaming—such a unique touch! If you enjoy relaxing on your balcony, definitely request a room with a good view.Highly recommend for families, and keep an eye out for their packages—they’re great value!

Would have been a great experience but a lack of any compassion by reception staff has left me very disappointed

    rating25 Mar 2026

There were so many positive things I wanted to write about this place like the most comfortable beds, the beautiful layout, the great breakfasts and the most helpful staff in the grounds when getting lost and the restaurant staff particularly Sharon. However the complete lack of understanding, consideration and compassion after I have ended up in hospital has sullied my experience. Another family member informed reception that I had been hospitalised very late at night and there would be issues with my husband vacating the room by 10am. The staff member insisted that check out was 10am regardless. So now my poor husband who was already exhausted due to circumstances beyond his control before I was hospitalised, is now also sleep deprived has to drive 45 km in a city he has never been to before.
