    Great Location, Accommodation Average

We booked a villa for our 6 night stay, Villa 5.1. Checking in the main reception was easy and quick. The villas are next door to the main building and car park. The car park for the villas is secured, you require your room key to access the gate. There are plenty of car parks for the villas and there are a couple of parks for boats too. The villa is spacious, kitchen, outdoor clothesline, dining, lounge, bedroom, bathroom and outdoor deck. BUT, it is very tired. The villas are privately owned and it’s up to the owners to renovate. Some of the villas face the small park and the others face the water. The property is well maintained with a large swimming pool that is heated, but doesn’t feel like it, spa, plenty of sun lounges, umbrellas and bbq. Reception is open til about 5ish, but if you need someone, there is also a caretaker available. Seashells is walking distance to restaurants and shops. The Villa:The villas are a very good size, plenty of room to move around. Upon entering, you enter into the kitchen which is large and very empty. There are a European laundry, a fridge & freezer with no handles to open the doors, 2 burner hotplate, new kettle and toaster, coffee machine, dishwasher and microwave. You step down 2 steps to the dining area, a table for 4. A sliding door out to the deck which overlooks a park. There is a table and 4 chairs and 2 sun lounges that have seen better days. They are stained and do not look good. There a 2 nice big pots, one with a plant and the other is cracked with no plant. Back inside, a large living area, coffee table, large couch, tv sitting on a cabinet, not overly huge, but it did have Swift streaming service. Take 2 steps up into the bedroom, which is carpeted. It has a desk, a very good wardrobe with plenty of hangers, many drawers for your clothes and a safe. A king size bed and fan over head. The pillows were just ok and the bed dipped to the outside which you made you roll to outside of it. The bathroom is not separated from the bedroom so you look onto a large spa bath that we did not use. A separate toilet with door that did have an occasional smell to it and a small shower that was dark inside. It felt like a cave. The water temperature was not consistent, but was not too bad. Water pressure was good. A single vanity with 2 large drawers. They were not easy to open, kept getting stuck a bit. Hairdryer was supplied, but after using it, it became scorching hot, could not wrap the cord around the handle. The towels were large bath sheets and thin. Hand towels and face clothes were also thin, they need to be replaced. An air conditioner in the dining area does not provide cool air into the bedroom, hence the fan. This villa needs a good clean. The floor, some type of tile/stone needs a scrub, the walls need painting, furniture needs replacing, new lighting, it needs to be bought up to the 20th century. Whoever owns this unit, I hope you read this review and do something to improve this unit.Villa 5.1 is on the ground level, there is another villa that is upstairs, 5.2. Noise carries and acoustics is terrible. Nothing can be done about this, but keep it in mind when you are making a booking in future. As much as I found Mandurah relaxing, I would not go back and definitely would not stay at Seashells.

Just returned from an incredible 2-night stay at Seashells Mandurah and have already booked two more trips for 3 nights each — that’s how good it is! The apartments are amazing, spotless, and so comfortable, and the facilities are absolutely top-notch. The location is unbeatable, and I highly recommend booking a sea-view apartment for the full experience.

    Nice stay. Room for improvement.

Stayed 3 nights 1 bedroom apartment 2nd floor. Agree with previous comment re bath and shower being difficult to enter. Plus the bedside light only on 1 side totally useless. Staff were nice and we loved the pool. Great location. Bed was comfy. The apartment was large and a large balcony which got the sun all afternoon.

Good but could be so much Better!

While the location is top notch and the Reception staff excellent, there are a few matters within the rooms that let this property down. So much so that I would not recommend this property if anyone suffering from balance issues were to stay here.We were part of a group of 4 couples staying here and we all expressed the same concerns.Firstly, the shower is located within a spa bath - slippery at best but actually slinging one's legs over the exceptionally high side of the spa bath almost required mountaineering equipment. Just install a walk in shower! While the room overall was pleasant (overlooked the lagoon and not the beach) it shows signs of tiredness, The bedroom overhead fan was noisy and the overhead pendent bedside lighting had only one switch - very inconsiderate for your partner should they want to sleep plus the unfortunate one who has to exit the bed to turn off the lights! Why no individual bedside light was available is a mystery. While the kitchen facilities were great one glaring lack of a nice guest touch was missing - a coffee pod machine was available but complimentary pods were not provided (there was the usual tea bags and sachet coffee sugar etc) Just a few pods would have been such a welcoming gesture!
