Dark, dingy, creepy & bugs in the rooms

    rating25 Apr 2026

I planned to stay 2 nights but after the first experience I had to leave. The check-in was poor, first pass the key did not open the door, only told the room number not floor. The menu I was told was updated, not what the QR code displayed. That was not the case. Ordered risotto, I ate it bc I was tired & hungry - I don't recommend, it is obviously not cooked from scratch, the rice is hard (par-boiled and slapped together on order). My room was so dark, overlooked concrete. The bathroom had no bench space to put anything, like barely anything! Barely slept and in the morning went to make a coffee and saw bugs move when I put the light on in that area. I showered and came out to dress and saw roach on my bed sheets where I had been sleeping. I killed it so they could see it on the bed sheet that had been peeled back as I'd gotten out of it. I was rushing to get to a customer, told reception I cannot stay another night and what had happened. They never followed me up, they charged me for the full 2 nights, no sorry no explanation and most of all no credit, just a full charge. IMO go to a big hotel chain, sacrifice that little extra time it takes to get there to ensure you are well looked after, in peace and comfort & cleanliness! Never again....

    Missing items

    rating04 Apr 2026

After reading 20 bad reviews I was a bit nervous to stay here. It really was great especially the friendly staff. However I lost clothes that I left in the room on departure.I 100% know i left them there and unfortunately housekeeping has either taken them or thrown them out.For that reason I won't choose to stay at a hotel where you feel you can't trust the staff.Shame really as the experience until that was great... Eva Rohtla, Sales at Tribe Perth Kings Park, responded to this review Dear cjh557,Thank you for sharing your feedback.I was pleased to read that you found your overall stay enjoyable and our staff friendly. That said, I was sorry to learn of your disappointment regarding the clothing you believe was left in the room after your departure.I appreciate how frustrating this situation must be and understand the concern it has caused. Please be assured that we take reports of missing items seriously and that the matter has been reviewed through our housekeeping and lost property procedures. Unfortunately, the items in question have not been identified.I regret that this issue has affected your overall impression of the hotel, particularly after what was otherwise a positive stay.Kind regards,Tony PallottaRelief General Manager

    Enjoyable stay

    rating15 Mar 2026

We really enjoyed our stay at the Tribe Hotel Kings park in Perth. It was a much better stay than we expected after reading some of the resent negative reviews on TA.Although the room was compact & cosy in size, it had plenty of storage space for your suitcases under the bed. The bed was large & very comfortable. The bathroom was compact with plenty of shelving for storing your toiletries. It had a good size shower. The Air conditioning & black out blinds worked well. The room was modern and well equipped with a kettle, coffee pod machine & a mini fridge for storing your own food and drink. It also had a large TV with the ability to cast Films/Netflix from your mobile phone over WiFi.The Hotel is in a great location. It is opposite Kings Park a must visit if you have time and it located very near to the Red & Green CAT free bus services less than 10 minutes into Perth CBD. In the Hotel restaurant area, there is a microwave and sandwich toaster for guests to use. Great if you don’t want to eat restaurant/pub food every night. The lounge bar & restaurant areas have an atmosphere and well used by guests. If we get the chance we would definitely stay again, highly recommended. Eva Rohtla, Sales at Tribe Perth Kings Park, responded to this review Thank you so much for your lovely and detailed review.I am thrilled to hear that you had such an enjoyable stay with us and that your experience was better than expected. It is wonderful to know you found the room comfortable, well equipped and thoughtfully designed, and that the bed, air conditioning, blackout blinds and practical storage all helped make your stay a pleasant one.I am also very pleased that you enjoyed our location opposite Kings Park, the convenience of the nearby free CAT buses, and the atmosphere in our restaurant and lounge areas. It is great to know the additional guest facilities also added value to your stay.Thank you again for your kind recommendation. It means a great deal to us, and we would be delighted to welcome you back to TRIBE Perth Kings Park in the future.Kind regards,Tony PallottaRelief General Manager

Unacceptable room conditions and delayed response

    rating05 Feb 2026

I checked in last Friday at around 4:55 pm and shortly after noticed that the air conditioning was not working. I reported this at approximately 5:05 pm and was initially asked to wait, but it became clear the AC was not functioning at all. I was told a room change would be arranged, however there were long delays and no proactive communication.By 6:20 pm, the room temperature had reached 36°C, and I had still received no update, so I went to reception myself. Only then was I given a key to a new room.Unfortunately, the replacement room also had issues, including a strong unpleasant odour, a pillow with a sweat smell, flies in the shower area, and dusty lamps and accessories.Overall, the experience was disappointing due to poor communication and room cleanliness, and did not meet expectations for the price paid. Eva Rohtla, Sales at Tribe Perth Kings Park, responded to this review Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, and please accept my sincere apologies for the experience you encountered during your stay with us.I was very concerned to read your comments regarding the air conditioning issue in your original room, the delay in arranging an alternative, and the lack of proactive communication from our team throughout the process. This is clearly not the standard of service we aim to provide, and I fully understand how frustrating this must have been, particularly with the room temperature reaching such an uncomfortable level.I was also disappointed to learn that the replacement room did not present as it should have, with the odour, pillow condition, flies in the shower area, and dust all contributing to a poor overall impression. This is certainly not acceptable and does not reflect the standards we expect for our guests.Your feedback has been taken very seriously and will be reviewed with both our Front Office and Housekeeping teams, as well as in relation to the maintenance response and communication process when guest room issues arise. We appreciate you bringing these matters to our attention, as feedback such as yours helps us identify where immediate improvement is required.I am very sorry we let you down on this occasion and that your stay did not reflect the level of comfort and service you were entitled to expect. Should you wish to discuss the matter further, please feel free to contact me directly on 0433 280 888.Kind regards,Tony PallottaRelief General Manager

Disappointing Stay: Broken AC, Empty Promises, and Poor Management (Accor Platinum)

    rating22 Nov 2025

Rating: 2/5As an Accor Platinum member, I expected a certain standard of service and recognition at Tribe Perth, but this stay was a letdown from start to finish.First, despite my status, there was no room upgrade offered. Unfortunately, the room I was assigned had a completely broken air conditioner. After a miserable first night, I was moved to a second room, only to find that it had a faulty thermostat where I couldn't control the temperature. The biggest issue, however, is the management. I was promised a 50% refund for the first night due to the lack of AC. I later received an email from Maria (Reservations/Reception) stating that because the refund transaction failed on their end (claiming it was reversed by the card provider), they are simply "unable to proceed" with the refund. There was no attempt to find an alternative solution (like a bank transfer or points adjustment); just a flat refusal to honour the compensation because of a technical glitch. It feels incredibly dishonest to acknowledge a failure, promise a refund, and then revoke it because processing it was difficult.Between the uncomfortable nights and the dismissive service from management regarding the refund, I cannot recommend this hotel. Status seems to mean very little here. Eva Rohtla, Sales at Tribe Perth Kings Park, responded to this review Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are truly sorry that your stay fell short of expectations, particularly given your Accor Platinum status. Please accept our sincere apologies for the discomfort caused by the air conditioning issues and the frustration surrounding the refund process.Your experience does not reflect the standard of service we aim to provide. We take your comments very seriously and will review the matter internally to ensure we address both the technical and service-related issues you experienced. We understand how disappointing this must have been, and we genuinely regret that we were unable to provide a resolution that met your expectations at the time. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us improve, and we hope we might have the opportunity to restore your trust in the future.Kind regards,Rowen Raj
