    Such a mis match of rooms and quality. As a Platinum ALL and Plus member my loyalty was not acknowledged other than 'let me know when you want the free drink in the app'. No advance notice of NO evening meals either. Room with damaged walls - no upgraded room not acceptable. Amenity in room very good. Seems hit and miss. WiFi useless - slow and unuseable for work.

    Bathroom was filthy. Mould in bath/shower so thick we could scrape it off with our fingernails. Bath mat provided was dirty and mouldy. Went to breakfast buffet and all the food was completely cold. Staff seemed at a loss as to know what to do about it. After several years this was our second stay here, and it is obviously under new 'management'. Would never recommend this to anybody and we will never go again. We have stayed in Accor properties in many countries and states but this ranks as the worst.

    Thank God for the Mercure Ballarat! After 48 straight hours on disaster relief at the not so far Colac I needed some high quality Accor hotel love. Coming in just before midnight on a 45degree day at a near full capacity the team found me a wonderful accessible room. The room was impeccable with a huge spotless bathroom, powerful hot shower and the most amazingly comfortable bed and pillows. Powerful Mitsubishi air con cooled me and the room down fast!I recovered beautifully with a solid 8 hours I was so cozy I didn’t hear anything or anyone and enjoyed a wonderful buffet breakfast.The pictures of this facility do not do it justice I found the staff, rooms and grounds wonderful, serene and very welcoming. Shout out to Anita, Sarab and a huge thank you to Mr Wasif who looked after me on arrival and fetched my door card after leaving it in reception in my dazed and hyperactive state. Mercure he is a huge credit to the establishment and very very endearing and ultimately very professional and that’s coming from a seasoned traveller with hundreds of hotel experiences across the world. Thanks mate I really appreciate you.     The rooms are clean and basic. Unfortunately my sons bed had quite a large spider run across it while he was lying on it so not the greatest start. The issue was dealt with and no further spider sightings. Beds are comfortable, basic amenities in the room. Reasonable for the price. Location directly across from Sovereign Hill.
