  We arrived in Eden at 5pm in the middle of the big rain depression, were desperate and saw the sign on the building, so rang the agents, paid and moved in. BIG MISTAKE. Once we had carried our luggage up 12 steps ( we were advised of the steps) in the rain and settled in we realised we had made a big mistake. The unit was very smelly and although the rain was blowing, we had to open windows and doors to let air in.The curtains in the downstairs bedroom and dining room were shredded and had mildew spots on them as did the upstairs bedroom. Obviously pet friendly judging by the carpet in the bedroom that had big stains on it. We felt very uncomfortable sleeping in the bed, who knows what was in the mattress?? There was a cupboard door off in the kitchen and the space between the stove and cupboard was dark yellow with built up grease and dirt.In the laundry the fluff and dirt was really bad, at some stage someone had dropped a cake of soap there and it was covered in fluff and grime.On the morning of check out the cleaner arrived and was entering the bottom unit, I told her the unit was disgusting and she said I should have rung the agency and they would have moved us. It was pouring rain the whole time of our visit and the idea of moving would not have been an option. Also, why should we have to move? If the agency had been on the ball the unit would not have been in that state.I have taken photos to substantiate my review.

  Definitely a place to maximise profits of the owner at all costs. No name brand appliances - including a TV that is not internet compatible, multiple lamps that don’t have globes in them - it even says in the compendium that if you stay on a Thursday that they expect you to put out their bins out for them (?!) but it also says that if you use more towels than there are people then they’ll charge you an extra $35. It just feels like a poor uni share house and a bit of a rort to be honest

  Our First expression when we entered the accommodation was wow !! For regular travelers who have a dog we are often disappointed with dog friendly accommodation options but this one was amazing to say the least !! It was spacious, clean, well laid out, well maintained & safe us and our little puppy.. It felt like each member of our family was catered for .. there was even a ball to keep her entertained 💕 Having 2 toilets was a bonus too.. An apt description would be home away from home! The location is very central to the shops& eateries and a walking distance to the lovely Aslings beach which was a gem to discover.. not crowded and plenty of amenities available to keep us occupied for hours.. We would definitely recommend the beach retreat to other families..

  Exactly what we needed

  Some confusion with the check-in process (check your email), but once resolved we had a great visit - pity we could only stay one night. Well furnished, and nice view of the beach from our balcony. Off-street parking. Not quite the Ritz, but it's not intended to be, and doesn't need to be. Would definitely stay there again

  This is a fabulous place to stay.Pet friendly, which was our main reason for choosing here. It was exceptionally clean and spacious, along with comfort of home.We stayed three days here and will definitely stay again and after driving 9 hours, it was well worth it.
