    A most memorable experience

    rating16 Aug 2026

We decided to stay at The Rydges quite simply because they were the only ones to answer their phone. Very poor customer service from the other establishments, even after leaving messages. The Rydges was a very pleasant surprise. No lifts so we had to use the stairs to get to our first floor room. Our old legs are not as good as they used to be, but we managed the stairs fine. Our room was larger than expected and very comfortable. The only complaint I could possibly come up with is that like every other hotel we have stayed in, only 4 tea bags. That had a variety of other types of tea, however only 4 normal bags - English Breakfast. We got more when we asked. Our room was maintained very well and there was a lovely swimming pool area, although it was a bit too cold and wet to utilise it. The bar and ding area was very good with seats well spaced between each other. Meals were very good and surprisingly good portion sizes. Everything was excellent except for the service which was much better! From the time we booked, to our check in, meal times and any contact we had with staff members, the level of service was exceptional. A special thank you to the wait team in the restaurant, the best I have experienced. This was our first time staying at the Rydges, and next time, we won’t bother with the other establishments, straight back to the Rydges QT Perth, Marketing at Rydges Kalgoorlie, responded to this review Dear Ron,Thank you for the great review of our hotel and we appreciate your feedback. Modern and comfortable, ask for rooms far away from the kitchen

    rating15 Aug 2026

Will start with the positives. Staff were all lovely, there was a decent amount of secure parking. Rooms were nice and modern (huge tvs!) and beds were comfortable. Make sure you ask not to be in room 26 or 28 or any room above the kitchen. You will be directly above the kitchen exhaust fan and it will sound like you’re inside an airplane until it’s switched off (I think around 9.30/10 at night). If you go to bed later than this then it may not affect you, just mentioning it for other early nighters. The second bedroom in these rooms only have blinds on the window so it is very bright all night in that room. This is an easy fix problem for the hotel so hopefully they take this on board. The main bedroom has great light blocking curtains, lovely and dark in there all night. Breakfast was $60 for adults and not many gluten free options in the continental breakfast section so to get a decent feed GF people would need to do the full breakfast. Definitely recommend buying your own food at the supermarket instead as the kitchen is well set up in the hotel room. The pool would be great in hotter months, it’s a lovely set up. The kids tried it but it was obviously too cold in August. They did enjoy the spa though! QT Perth, Marketing at Rydges Kalgoorlie, responded to this review Dear Otravel0,Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. While we live for the thrill of receiving high marks, what matters most to us is receiving honest feedback from our guests. Thanks for taking a moment to fill us in on both the highs and lows, and hope to see you again soon.Sincerely,Rydges Kalgoorlie Front Office Team

    Restaurant Disappointing

    rating05 May 2026

Stayed ther on a Monday public holiday recently. The desk staff and room were very good but the restaurant was disappointing. Basic food, no grill, the menu looks amazing but virtually nothing on it was available. Understaffed, seriously overpriced. Pork belly served with 1 lettuce leaf and sauce. I would definitely recommend eating elsewhere.

    Lovely stay in Kalgoorlie

    rating10 Apr 2026

Rydges was a lovely hotel about a 5 minute drive from the main town. It’s got a nice pool area and we had a really good dinner in their restaurant. The bar is also a nice place to sit and relax. Our room was well appointed and had a huge bathroom, with plenty of towels and toiletries. Breakfast was not quite as good as dinner but perfectly fine to set us up for the day ahead.

Everything you need for a comfortable stay in Kalgoorlie

    rating09 Apr 2026

The rooms are large and spacious, well fitted out and spotlessly clean. The property is not located in the city centre, but if you have a car this isn’t an issue and there is plenty of parking on site. There is a lovely large pool to cool off in, a hot-tub, a nice seating area in the garden, bar and restaurant on-site.The bathroom was well lit and ventilated, my room had a huge spa, large shower recess, loads of storage and a decent hair drier. The bed was very comfortable, with quality linens, huge television with an assortment of viewing options available. I appreciated the kitchenette, complete with microwave, toaster, kettle, large sink and loads of cupboard space. The room was really well designed and spacious.I liked everything about the Rydges Hotel, except the restaurant where the food wasn’t great.
