  Not the experience I expected

  A little disappointed to say the least.. the room itself and the location was great. Comfortable bed, aircon etc. The TV is very out of date and needs to be upgraded to a smart tv. I was Lucky enough to have my laptop on me to keep me entertained. Days leading up to my booking, my card was never charged for the accomodation and I had to chase that up myself because I didn’t want to lose my booking. My card was supposedly “expired” which in fact it wasn’t and had plenty of money on my card. I find that hard to believe. I checked the card details were correct on the booking and they were in fact correct. My boyfriend unfortunately couldn’t make the trip because of family issues and I didn’t want to stay here alone so I wasn’t allowed a refund let alone a credit for another trip. The bathroom flooded on my first night. I messaged the person who was in charge of my booking process and told her what happened and she said someone would be there the next day to check. No one turned up. I asked for a late checkout seeing no one bothered to check the leak and to be compensated, no that was too hard also. I won’t be staying here again after how I have been treated by the staff.

  Barely adequate. Over priced for the ‘back packer’ style accommodation. The room was very tired, sparse and basic with scuff marks over every wall. The bathroom was tiny and barely functional. A classic roadside motel really

  Deeply Disappointed by Lack of Compassion

  I made a booking with this hotel but had to cancel less than two hours later after realising my wife had suddenly become very unwell. To my surprise, the hotel refused to issue any kind of refund or even partial credit, stating that I had booked a “non-cancellation” room type. While I understand that policies exist, what was shocking to me was the complete lack of empathy and compassion shown in the circumstances.We weren’t trying to game the system or cancel for convenience, it was a genuine medical situation. Even Booking.com, through whom I made the reservation, were prepared to waive their commission to help, but the hotel still declined to do the right thing.This experience has left a very sour impression. For me, true hospitality is not just about rooms and amenities but also about treating guests with basic understanding. Unfortunately, this hotel failed badly on that front. I would strongly advise others to think carefully before booking here, especially if you value customer care and flexibility.

  Excellent location and great value

  It’s on Hastings Street! Prime location across the beach. Clean, comfortable with a/c working well. It’s excellent for a short stay and best price across Hastings street. Book in parking as so worth it. Resto downstairs (Piccolino) had super delicious pizzas and amazing cocktails. Highly recommend!

  Location is fantastic, right on Hastings Street. Unfortunately that’s the best thing about this accommodation. There is no onsite reception and the numbers provided to booking.com do not work. There is an emergency contact number on the door at the hotel but again, no answer. Our room was very worn and need of a really good clean. The shower hose was held on with a zip tie and the floors and walls are very grubby. The bed was comfortable as were the pillows but I wouldn’t recommend this accommodation for more than 1 night.
