Location

The resort occupies a unique location where the river meets the sea on Queensland's Sunshine Coast. It is conveniently located within minutes of popular restaurant and shopping precincts. The resort is also just 5 km away from the Sunshine Coast Airport, which offers direct air services from Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide.

Facility

Guests have a choice of 358 rooms. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a cash machine. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. Film fans will find plenty of 'lights, camera, action' at the cinema. There are a number of shops, including a supermarket and souvenir shop. The grounds of the hotel feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional amenities include a TV room and a playroom. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park. Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning, central heating and a fan. A balcony is among the standard features of some rooms. The rooms have a queen-size bed and a sofa bed.     We had a wonderful stay here at the Novotel! Celebrated our wedding anniversary and was given very early check in. Thank you so much! Weather was not the best but we still had a great time. Special mention to Alana and guy who checked us in. Sorry I didn’t get his name. Food also super yummy! Highly recommended resort!     Great stay on the Sunny Coast

    I had to double check I was reviewing the correct property based on recent reviews - we had a fantastic stay! We were allocated a recently refurbished executive resort room which was well appointed and comfortable. Public areas presented well, and we were able to make the most of a sunny weekend on the beach and pool area. Had lunch which was excellent, great long island iced teas at the bar - and of a morning breakfast (while busy but understandable being last day of school holidays) was really good. Only improvement - I'd suggest chicken chipolatas for the buffet rather than beef (yucko)!     One-Star Stay at Best — A Masterclass in Disappointment.

    This was my first stay here and, without exaggeration, it will be my last.The property markets itself as something far above what it actually delivers. In reality, it’s tired, run-down, and desperately in need of investment. We walked into a room that felt neglected, unclean, worn, and with a fridge that smelled so bad we didn’t dare use it. After a long flight, all we wanted was a hot shower. Instead, we were greeted with empty dispensers. No body wash. No shampoo. No conditioner. Apparently, basic hygiene amenities are now considered “luxury extras.”If this is cost-cutting, it’s embarrassing. If it’s oversight, it’s worse.As a Platinum member with Accor, I have stayed in countless properties across their portfolio. Loyalty is supposed to mean something, recognition, basic standards, some acknowledgement that you consistently choose the brand. Here, there was absolutely none. No welcome, no recognition, no upgrade discussion, no gesture,nothing. You wouldn’t have known I was a long-term loyal guest.When a brand promotes status tiers as meaningful, but individual properties ignore them entirely, it makes you question the value of that loyalty.This hotel should not be advertised at its current star rating. At best, it scrapes one star — and that’s being generous. False expectations, poor presentation, and zero regard for loyal guests.     I Needed a Rest with Beautiful Surroundings.

    We just needed one night to rest after a medical appointment, and I requested a lagoon view. We were greeted with lovely staff at reception, who offered us an upgraded room that had apparently been renovated. We could see that the room had new flooring, but we felt the renovations fell short. The area under the fridge was mouldy, and paint bubbled on the walls. No pictures on the wall. The Coast has amazing artists and photographers, whose work could grace the walls. A private party was held on the grounds outside of our room 359, and I didn't get much rest until after 9pm. The reception was willing to move us, but I didn't have the energy for that. I was there when the property was developed, and the gardens and walks are lovely. Breakfast was excellent. Credit to the older lady at breakfast who greeted us. Sorry I have forgotten her name. We would like to return, but I would check the room and any private parties booked.
