    A charming place to stay in an historic area with beautiful beaches close by

    This beautiful grand heritage home has been sensitively converted into a boutique hotel. It has a lovely feeling about it. Accessible by L2 lightrail from Circular Quay or Central to Wansey Road (6 minute walk) or Randwick (10 minute walk). There is no lift and some rooms are accessible by stairs. Fine for an overnight bag. Consider ground floor for multiple large suitcases or mobility issues. Room 28 was clean with nice view and a historic fireplace (no longer used). Airconditioning efficient. Tea and coffee and some milk provided. The queen size bed for two was super comfy and the room very quiet. Shower hot which was refreshing after a swim at Coogee.

    What a lovely find. Small, personable hotel, with good, if slightly dated (but we loved them) facilities. Large room with en-suite. Great balcony with the view of a local, quiet park. Ideally situated for the buses and Light Railway that takes you into the centre of Sydney or Bondi Beach in 25 minutes. The perfect location to explore this amazing city. Attentive and polite staff.     Kookaburras in the park

    I stayed at Avonmore for a few nights while attending a meeting at UNSW. The hotel is two houses of a Victorian terrace very nicely renovated and extended to form a hotel, retaining its old time charm, but adding modern functionality. The genial staff are all helpful. The hotel serves no food, but there are eateries and supermarkets a short walk a way. Wansey Road light rail is close by too. You might see kookaburras in the little park across the road.     A beautiful boutique hotel on Alison Park.

    This beautiful hotel is a perfect base from which to explore Sydney. It is close to bus services to the eastern suburbs beaches and the L2 tram to the city.The bed was so comfortable it was like sleeping on a cloud.The housekeeping staff take pride in keeping the interior of this grand old building spotless.The staff in reception could not be more helpful, pleasant and friendly.Numerous cafes and restaurants to suit all budgets are just around the corner.A great place to stay.     Wonderful experience at Avonmore on the Park Boutique Hotel

    Good location VERY close to many good restaurants and shops. Also, It took me only 20 min to walk down to beautiful Coogee beach which I liked much more than Bondi beach and walked the trail nearby for 3 hours. A special thanks to Mathew at the front desk for being so welcoming and helpful! I will definitely stay there on my next visit.
