  Cockroaches, mold, toilet did not flush, the “eco-friendly” hot water heater took 20 minutes of continuous running water to get warm, air conditioner barely worked, and the sheets were clean but the bed linens had stains. This hotel is frankly disgusting. We did not read reviews beforehand because of our travel circumstances we just needed a place in the area for a couple nights.

  Ok but i wouldnt stay again. Cocroaches in the room running away when i put light on. Also no windows can open , small vent in bathroom, room is dump and no fresh air to breath. You breathing your own CO2. I cannot understand why windows are not able to be opened, are their people jumping down? I ended up staying at friends place despite i paid for the room actually stayed multiple times in 2025, not one time. Also i put sign on the door do not disturb as i didnt want cleaners coming and going through my stuff, but despite the sign they always went in and changed towels etc and did the bed , im very private person and only book for 1-2 days no need for room service plz , so it was very annoying. Theres absolutely no parking anywhere, free or paid, so dont bring your car. Perhaps across the road shopping offers very expensive daily rates parking. Last time i stayed lift wasnt working. Also lift looks 200 years old im really scared to be in. I also suggest they allow pets, as a lot of pub hotels now do. I really did not want people clean my room when i put sign do not disturb. Also all hotel and bar staff speak little english i had trouble even explaining in the pub that i booked the room , i dont even know if they are all in australia illegally if they are students they need certain english level to be here.

  Easy checkin great location and friendly staff. The complimentary welcome drinks were a really nice touch. The room was a good size and had everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again.

  Crown Hotel Surry Hills, awesome accommodation and restaurant/bar

  Terrific room cleaned daily, and fresh linen supplied daily also. Comfortable bed and pillows. Downstairs restaurant and bar are convenient, food is delicious, and staff are all friendly and helpful. To top it off no noise was heard in our room from restaurant or bar.

  Lovely stay near Moore Park Stadum

  Loved staying here, nearby the Moore Park SCG, Hordern Pavillion and Allianz stadium for sport and concerts I attended. Crown Street is full of great local restaurants and cafes, and the pub downstairs has great food and drinks.Rooms are completely silent, air conditioned and beds nice big and comfy.Everything was nice and clean, looking forward to coming back here on my next trip.
