    Hit and a big miss

    rating09 May 2026

We stayed here for one night in May. As an Accor member who travels for work I've stayed in many Accor branded hotels over the last 5 years. The goodThe staff at the reception desk went above and beyond, they were helpful, polite, professional and helped us to change one of our rooms as my father couldn't get in and out of the shower over the bathroom. It was a busy weekend but the concierge were so helpful with bags, and helping us out to our room and explaining the layout of the hotel. The junior suite was immaculate for my parents, they were extremely happy. It has fantastic views. The rain shower was wonderful. The gardens and grounds were wonderful, well maintained and lovely to walk around. The bad There is an extreme lack of cleanliness in eating areas such as breakfast and the sublime bar, that didn't have staff to clean up. Scrambled eggs on the tiles for over an hour that was a slip hazard. The sublime bar had dirty glasses on all tables when we arrived and weren't cleared for over an hour. They forgot our cheese platter and we had to remind them 20 minutes later. We ate at embers which has mains from $50 to $100 and thus puts itself into a fine dining category. The food was hit and miss, the clam chowder was excellent, less so the burrata. Our table was stunned to see a lack of dress code, particularly at mother's day. Table next to us had men in short shorts and flannelette shirts with only one button done up. People wearing thongs and caps like they were at a beach bar. This wasn't good. There was also an extremely loud metal clanking and hum which made it impossible to sleep in the other room that we booked. Now in terms of a response from this hotel, I've seen the other responses that Michelle the GM has left which are pretty dull saying 'sorry' and not pledging to do any better. But I guess it doesn't matter to us as we will most definitely not be back. Michelle Taylor, General Manager at Fairmont Resort Blue Mountains, responded to this review Thank you for your kind review on the team. For Mother's Day we do not set a dress code as the event it is for children and families. I am sorry if this offended you.

The ultimate family-friendly stay in the Blue Mountains!

    rating18 Apr 2026

We recently stayed at the Fairmont Resort and it remains our top choice for a family trip to the Blue Mountains. The Highlights:Stunning Views: Visiting in April was a highlight; the scenery is breathtaking this time of year.Exceptional Service: The team here is wonderful. Professional and warm service across the entire resort, from the lobby to the dining areas.Membership Perks: They do a great job of recognising membership status, making the stay feel extra special.Kids' Paradise: There is so much to do! Between the indoor ice skating rink, the pools, the famous Rainbow Slide, and the Treetop Adventure, the kids were entertained the entire time.Though the rooms show a bit of age, the overall experience and facilities are unmatched in the region. It’s the perfect base for families looking to explore Leura and beyond. Michelle Taylor, General Manager at Fairmont Resort Blue Mountains, responded to this review Hi,Thank you for your kind review, we look forward to seeing you soon.

Disappointing, dirty, absolutely disgusting and understaffed!

    rating18 Apr 2026

Extremely disappointing. Dirty. Absolutely disgusting, everywhere- halls, foyer. Foyer full of uncleared take away / plates or from hotel cafes. Room #111 - bathroom unclean with mould in tile grouting. Was very noisy with a constant hum.. of may be a pump nearby. Unable to sleep. Understaffed. Images on websites are misleading. I have sent a detailed email with all the concerns to the reception email address at Fairmont resort and no response. I responded to the survey enquiry from Acccor; to which I received an acknowledgement of my detailed feedback and that someone would be in contact. It has been nearly 2 weeks and no response.

    Amazing experience and highly recommend

    rating15 Apr 2026

Honestly the best decision i made was booking for us during school holidays at the Fairmont. A very family friendly hotel with heaps of activities to do for the kids for different ages. We booked for two nights and we were able to use the amenities before check in & after check out times. So we spent 3 full days full making memories and kids were super occupied. Room was clean and had everything we needed. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Food was great. Even though hotel was full of kids, couldn’t hear any noise when we were in the room for sleeping. Indoor pool and heated so kids could swim even when cold outside . Overall it was an awesome experience. Highly recommend for families with kids. Also recommend becoming an ALL Accor member which is free to sign up, lots of benefits especially free parking. Michelle Taylor, General Manager at Fairmont Resort Blue Mountains, responded to this review Thank you for your kind words and great review.School holidays are a time to create memories that will last forever. It is great news you are a member of the Accor club, your will receive great discounts and points. We hope to see you and your family again.
