    Stay here at your peril. Guest safety is not a priority. No sleep because of a drunk and abusive guest nearby threatening to kill people. Forced to call the Police as no one was available after 10pm. Zero care or concern from management the next morning. One star is too much. Never again.

    Terrible Stay – Broken Air Conditioning and Very Poor Customer Service

    My stay at Ibis St Peter Sydney was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. The room was extremely uncomfortable because the air conditioning was not working properly. The room kept getting warmer and more humid throughout the night, making it very difficult to sleep.When we contacted the front desk about the issue, they told us the hotel was fully booked and there was nothing they could do. It was almost midnight, and we had just arrived from a long and exhausting trip. Instead of helping us find a solution or showing any empathy, we were basically told to just stay in the hot and humid room.The customer service was very disappointing. The front desk staff were rude and unhelpful when we tried to explain the situation. Even the housekeeping staff we encountered were unfriendly and dismissive. The hallways also looked dirty and poorly maintained, which made the whole place feel neglected.To make things worse, earlier that day the manager suggested that we leave a good review on TripAdvisor in exchange for early check-in. That alone already felt inappropriate and unprofessional.Because of the unbearable heat in the room, we ended up leaving and booking another hotel in the middle of the night. The new hotel cost us double the price of what we paid for Ibis, which made the situation even more frustrating.On top of that, we had to call multiple times afterward just to follow up on getting our refund returned. It should not be this difficult to resolve an issue caused by the hotel.
