    Ibis Sydney World Square is in a great location. Easy to walk to and from the Capitol Theatre, Museum Station, Pitt Street Mall, Queen Victoria Building, and Darling Harbour. The room was large and the beds were comfortable. There were no paintings or decorations of any kind in the room, which made it a bit boring. Not even coloured throw pillows. A desk or another surface would’ve been helpful too. The bathroom was big, but had no screen for the shower, so water went everywhere every time we had showers. This made the floor slippery and dangerous. I think it might’ve been a disabled access bathroom, which is not what we booked. And disabled people should not have to risk slipping in the bathroom either!Also the combination shampoo+conditioner and hand+hair+body wash were not ideal. Nobody wants to wash their hair with those. The luggage storage was helpful, but we felt that it wasn’t very secure. It’s self storage, so if you have bags there you can access ALL the bags. I could’ve taken whatever bag I wanted, or someone else could’ve taken my bag, or anything out of it. When we collected our luggage I was given a key card for the elevator to access the storage, but wasn’t asked for my room number or I.D. or anything. Most hotels tag luggage and staff take it to storage, so I’m not sure why that isn’t done here. Overall it was a great stay, but I can’t give five stars because of the bathroom and storage.

    I'd stay here again as the room was fine. The only issue i have is the hotel is located near pubs with live music. Also it is on the intersection that Police, Fire & Ambulance use.

    I had booked a 3-night stay at Ibis Sydney World Square but had to cancel my trip to Australia due to the sudden passing of my father. From the moment I contacted the hotel to request a refund, my request was handled promptly and with genuine kindness. Even though my booking was non-refundable, the hotel handled my request immediately and refunded me within days. Their compassion during such a difficult time was remarkable.A big thank 🙏 you!

    There was a stench of strong sickly perfume (air freshener?) in the lobby constantly which made me feel quite unwell, even if just passing through. It needs to be toned down. For breakfast, there was not an alternative to dairy milk and not a separate toaster for gluten free bread (not edible without toasting). Very disappointing. We ended going out for breakfast on the other days. Location was excellent though, very close to public transport etc.

    I’m surprised it’s only a 3 Star hotel??? The room are quite tiny, and so is the foyer, but it still felt as though it should be classified as a 4 Star. The best thing was the little cafe at the entry. We got there too early to check in, so the convenience of being able to sit, drink coffee, and use my laptop was handy. Catching a taxi in Pitt Street is easy too.
