    Excellent

    rating20 May 2026

This hotel is a hidden gem offering excellent value for money. While the rooms may not be as luxurious as those at Sofitels or Sebels, the more affordable pricing reflects that. On this visit, we stayed in a two-bedroom apartment, which was excellent thanks to the full kitchen and laundry facilities. That said, I still prefer the executive split-level studios for their ambience and private balcony. Location is close to Circular Quay or a five minute walk uptown to the main shopping area. The tram is basically outside the front door which takes you down to Circular Quay (one stop away) or out to the Eastern Suburbs via Central Station. The standout feature of this hotel is Bar Allora. Although the menu is relatively compact, the food quality and service are exceptional. The restaurant serves authentic Italian cuisine complemented by an impressive wine list. It’s very popular, so booking ahead is highly recommended. Breakfast is also fantastic, with a lovely à la carte menu instead of a buffet — something I personally much prefer. One thing to note is that there may occasionally be nearby construction or roadworks during the day, which is understandable given the location on George Street. This only happened during one of our stays.Overall a wonderful stay at Mantra 2 Bond Street. It's the location

    rating04 May 2026

The location is key as it lies right in the CBD area. We've had meetings and attended a conference in Sydney and all the venues were within 10 minutes walk from the hotel. Loved the washing machine and dryer. They are a little pleasant surprise for me and I found them useful as some of my clothing was drenched in the winter shower. Did I tell you that the rain arrived with me? It was sunny only the first day of my visit and it rained almost the rest of the period I was in Sydney.Because of the rain the tram was a convenient way to move around and the station is just few steps away from the hotel lobby.Nothing much to complain about the hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. Food is served at the cafe and I found it convenient to have business discussions whilst having coffee there. If any improvement is needed please have international power points. Luckily I brought one along but my laptop computer, phone, smart watch needed to take turns to charge. Melissa Martinez, Guest Services / Front Office at Mantra 2 Bond Street Sydney, responded to this review Dear AFAK25, Thank you for your thoughtful review! We’re so pleased our location and in-room laundry facilities made your business trip more comfortable .It’s wonderful to hear you found our team friendly and enjoyed the convenience of Bar Allora for your meetings. We also appreciate your helpful suggestion regarding international power points and will certainly take this on board. We hope to welcome you back again on your next visit to Sydney.Sincerely, Melissa Martinez Front Office ManagerMantra 2 Bond St.

    Comfortable, Functional, Modern Apartment-Hotel

    rating13 Apr 2026

AmbienceAmbience at Mantra 2 Bond Street Sydney Hotel feels contemporary and business‑friendly, with an inviting lobby designed for both lounging and work. The common areas have a modern albeit understated feel, and the overall atmosphere balances calmness with comfort. The entrance area is bright, with clean lines and a homely aesthetic.RoomRooms at Mantra 2 Bond Street Sydney Hotel offer the comfort, affordability, and functionality of a serviced apartment. The well-equipped kitchenette with pantry, washer and dryer, and spacious layout made it easy to settle in, while the climate‑controlled air‑conditioning and modern furnishings added comfort. The wi-fi was fast and stable. The bed was supportive, the lighting well‑placed, and the sound insulation effective enough that city noise never became intrusive. Some rooms include balconies with city views, and although mine did not (looking directly into a wall of the next building), the overall cleanliness and upkeep reflected strong standards.FoodFood at Mantra 2 Bond Street Sydney Hotel is provided through Bar Allora, located in the lobby. A modern Italian dining experience inspired by urban fast‑paced rhythm, the venue serves as a cozy and intimate all‑day space where I could enjoy anything from a quick espresso to a cocktail. Its design‑led concept lends to the hotel's overall character. While the menu is not extensive, it is decently executed.ServiceService at Mantra 2 Bond Street Sydney Hotel was attentive and efficient. The 24‑hour front desk team handled check‑in, queries, and requests promptly, and housekeeping maintained a high standard of cleanliness each day. Towels and amenities were replenished reliably, and the staff were consistently courteous in their interactions.Facilities & ActivitiesThe facilities and activities at Mantra 2 Bond Street Sydney Hotel are decent. The rooftop deck with its heated outdoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, and barbecue pit area, offers a view overlooking the city. A compact yet functional fitness room has essential equipment for basic workouts. Additional services, such as massage bookings on request, rounded out the amenities. The location of Mantra 2 Bond Street Sydney Hotel is their strongest advantage, providing direct access to the tram light rail, trains, and buses, and being walking distance to several major tourist attractions, shopping malls, and a plethora of dining options, all within the city. Melissa Martinez, Guest Services / Front Office at Mantra 2 Bond Street Sydney, responded to this review Dear RunningMan0,Thank you for your detailed and thoughtful review! A well positioned hotel.

    rating08 Mar 2026

The Mantra on Bond Street is very well located. It is within easy walking distance of the city center and all of the major malls. The room we had was extremely comfortable and well appointed. Unfortunately, while we were there, there were major roadworks right outside our window. It was loud. The breakfast was a very limited menu with no buffet. I would expect more from a high priced hotel. Having said that, what we received was of the highest quality. Both my wife and I were very happy. Moreover, the waitress who served us on both days of our stay was a delight. Melissa Martinez, Guest Services / Front Office at Mantra 2 Bond Street Sydney, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We're pleased to hear you enjoyed our convenient location and found your room comfortable and well appointed. It's also lovely to know you and your wife enjoyed the breakfast at Bar Allora and that our waitress made such a positive impression with her service. We’re sorry that the roadworks outside the hotel affected your stay. While these works are outside of our control, we certainly understand how disruptive noise can be and appreciate your understanding.Thank you again for your comments, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back for an even more enjoyable stay in the future. Sincerely, Melissa Martinez Front Office ManagerMantra 2 Bond St.

    Good location, average hotel

    rating05 Feb 2026

The location of the hotel is great, walking distance to Circular Quay, the ferries, Opera house etc..There are plenty of nice restaurants, cafes and bars a few minutes walk away, so we never ate at the hotel.Getting there from the airport is also pretty straightforward by train and a short walk. Reception staff at the hotel is friendly. The hotel itself is quite drab and outdated. The bed is very small for two people snd the mattress too soft. Bathroom is small but ok. The sitting area and kitchenette is really lacking in decor. On the plus side there was a washing machine and dryer. Quite noisy at night, if you are on the side where the downstairs nightclub is located. Overall OK. Melissa Martinez, Guest Services / Front Office at Mantra 2 Bond Street Sydney, responded to this review Dear Brooke,Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re pleased to hear you enjoyed our location and felt welcomed by our team. We’re sorry that some aspects of the room and the noise from the neighboring venue affected your stay. As the venue is located outside of the hotel, this is unfortunately beyond our control, and we truly appreciate your understanding.Thank you again for your valuable feedback. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back in the future.Warm regards,Barsha TamangAssistant Manager Mantra 2 Bond Street
