    Modern and clean. Beautiful bathroom.The suites are spacious and tastefully decorated.Air con and wifi excellent.Meals are next door at the pub and they did a great dinner and at breakfast their bacon was the best I think I’ve had.There’s a small pool, probably best for kids rather than lounging around.Loads of outdoor parking. Well located not far from a metro station and shopping centre.Excellent staff.The only downside? The rooms facing Windsor Rd do get some road noise so bring earplugs for a good night’s sleep.     Where do I start? I have slept in some pretty crappy places but not once have I felt the need to go to reception in person twice in the space of a few hours..We originally discovered body hair all over our “clean bed” and yes inside the bed sheets - to the point of actually stripping the bed to investigate which is something I have never felt the need to do anywhere until today!We got told they would investigate the issue and get the housekeeper to strip the bed when we’d leave for dinner and that was done but we came back after dinner, the music was so loud we felt like we were literally in a nightclub in our room. At 12:30 in the morning we ended up at reception letting them know how loud the music from the pub next door is getting and how we have been unable to sleep for the last hour… the response: the music usually stops at 3am! So not only is this something they were fully aware of, it is also something they won’t tell you and this is also something we need to expect every night?!

    I arrived at the hotel at 9 30 am and met Nathan at reception, The hotel was quiet the night before and Nathan very kindly checked me into my room 306 , I was staying at this hotel for a week for a family wedding , The room was well equipped and the bed was so comfortable , The room was quiet even though it was near the street . Apparently the windows have treble glazing which helps . I had a delicious breakfast in the glasshouse next store and met Andy there from Dublin who was very welcoming.     The staff were so accomodating when the night before our arrival our plans changed requiring a change of bedding configuration and an early check-in. We really appreciated that they went above and beyond to accommodate us, it made such a difference to our stay.Beds were comfortable, plenty of channels to choose from on the TV, the internet was fast, and we also really liked both the dinner and the a la carte breakfast at the attached Fiddler.Thank you Mercure!
