The hotel was built in 1856. 362 rooms are available to guests in a 9-storey main building and a 12-storey auxiliary building. The multilingual staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out.     Fantastic location.We upgraded to Club Level - would highly recommend doing this. Hot food and drinks for a couple of hours early evening plus snacks and cold drinks during the day.Staff very friendly and helpful.Situated in the middle of the shopping area and within walking distance of the harbour.Would definitely stay here again if in Sydney.

    This hotel was exceptional! The staff were the best we have encountered on many of our trips around the world! Nothing was too much trouble and the kindness they showed us was awesome! The breakfast was great and theLocation was great too! Will definitely be back!

    Felt very welcome the second we entered the door. The room was very comfortable, and it was nice and quiet despite the construction across the street. The bar and Lady Fairfax Room were lovely as were the staff. It is close to many fantastic restaurants as well as Circular Quay.We will definitely be staying there on our next visit to Sydney.

    Excellent service ,professional efficient staff.We had a business class room and could not fault the standards,amenities or attention to detail.We would not stay anywhere else in Sydney.Breakfast offering very comprehensive.Concierge most helpful.
