Location

The Macleay Hotel is located in one of Sydney’s most coveted locations, inner city stylish Potts Point. Potts Point is well known for its proximity to the city centre, only 1 train stop (2 minutes) or bus ride (311 bus opposite the hotel takes 7 minutes) or to walk right in to the centre of the city takes 15 minutes. Potts Point is also known as one of Sydney’s best dining areas, with at least 50 restaurants within 5 minutes of the hotel.

Facility

The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Services such as a baggage storage service, a currency exchange service and a cash machine ensure a comfortable stay. Wireless internet access (no extra charge) allows guests to surf the internet and catch up on email. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. 2 lifts and wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. Parking facilities available to guests include a garage and a car park (for a fee). Further services include a 24-hour security service, a babysitting service, a childcare service, a DVD hire service, a transfer service, room service, an alarm call service, a coin-operated laundry and a hotel shuttle bus. Bicycles can be kept in the bicycle storage area. Complimentary newspapers are available. A business centre with fax machine and projector is available.

Rooms

Air conditioning and central heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. In some rooms, a terrace provides additional space for relaxation. Rooms have a double bed or a queen-size bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. A kitchenette with a stovetop, a microwave and a tea/coffee station is also provided as standard. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A telephone, a TV, a radio, a CD player, a DVD player, a plug adapter, an alarm clock and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. The daily newspaper is laid out for guests in the the rooms. A hairdryer and a telephone are available in the bathrooms, which are equipped with a shower and a bathtub. As a special feature, bathrooms are also stocked with cosmetic products and a selection of towels.

Sport

Guests can enjoy a refreshing swim in the outdoor pool area. Sun loungers and parasols are available on the sun terrace. There are many ways to relax or stay active at the apartment hotel, including yoga, callisthenics, aerobics, a steam bath, a beauty salon, massage treatments and hiking.

Meals

There is a restaurant on the premises. A continental breakfast and lunch are served every day. Staff are also happy to provide children's meals.

    I have stayed at Macleay Hotel a number of times and find the service consistent. Location is convenient for me, the staff are friendly and professional and the rates are reasonable.The Macleay doesn't have a restaurant on site, but they do provide a breakfast menu order service. There are various dining options close by, including one of my favourite Thai restaurants

    Always a delight to stay in the area with all the services one could hope for within a few minutes walk. We always ask for a particular room - the one with the best view in Sydney. It never disappoints

    Excellent location - near train station and a bus stop right outside, many affordable restaurants nearby as well as a convenience store. Clean rooms, quiet at night, comfortable bed. Friendly staff - showed us what attractions to visit and helpful in calling a taxi when asked

    Awesome location... close to restaurants and Harris Farms and right across from the Metro store. Nice walk downhill to the harbour as well. Room had a beautiful view of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House... especially striking with the reflections of sunrise off of the buildings. The bed was roomy and comfortable, and the water kettle and ironing board perfect for our needs before catching the Phantom of the Opera at Handa Opera. Receptionists were earn, friendly and helpful. Highly recommend! Great value!
