The apartment hotel has a lift and features 28 rooms. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. There are also a number of shops that make for great strolling and browsing. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park for no extra charge.     We had an unexpected stay in Launceston due to a medical procedure. As we had stayed at Elphin Villas before, we went straight there to check for availability. We were warmly received by Jamilla, who showed great compassion and promptly arranged our two-night stay.It was such a comfort to have a safe and secure place to stay during a stressful time. The room was cosy, clean and inviting. Location is excellent, close to Kmart and several dining options in a quiet and secure area.We’re very grateful for the kindness and understanding shown to us.     Firstly, I made the mistake of booking stay 3 and save..a whopping $65 saving.Unfortunately I didn't read all the way down and didnt realise at the time it was non refundable and no credit with cancellation.When I made contact to request to cancel my booking and ask for a potential refund, I was advised of this and I accept my mistake and that its a business and there is a policy in place.My request was made 5 days after my booking, with over a month remaining before intended travel, having found out my mother has cancer and will be on the table within the next 30 days having a portion of her lung removed, we were coming as a family to tend to my grandmothers and grandfather's graves. Obviously we are now not travelling at this time as she will be recovering.After receiving the response about no refunds, no credit, I elaborated on my initial request which I had mentioned a family situation, hoping this may be reconsidered. No response.I tried to call multiple times throughout the day on Monday, no answer. I followed up again with an email asking if a credit would be considered, hoping that we may still be able to travel a little later down the line, no response.I would have been happy to come at a later date.$592 you have taken from me and not even willing to provide a credit out of compassion, or even could have offered a portion or a refund.I guess I will note that other relatives have booked with your motel, who do have the ability to cancel with a refund.     Worse place bad people

    If I could give these scoundrels a negative score I would. Overall the place was average. I booked a two night stay in a 2 bedroom apartment for my daughter's 21st. It was booked through Wotif, but somehow through the booking it turned into 2 x apartments. When arriving at the accommodation they questioned me to this and I confirmed that I only booked apartment with 2 rooms not 2 apartments. They chuckled and blamed Wotif and advised me that I should just booked directly with them. However truth be told I would of even found them unless through Wotif... Long story short these thieves at Elphin whilst smiling at me took the money for the extra/error booking and told me to sort it with Wotif. So now I am stuck in between both Wotif and Elphin brushing there hands. The point is Elphin where not booked out that rainy weekend and could easily see it for the mistake it was and refund my money for the un used apartment. But instead of doing the moral and right thing they are hiding behind policy and have taken my money, even though I still stayed there in one apartment. Thanks Elphin for making what was supposed to be a memorable 21st birthday experience, into one now filled with disappointment. You could easily do the right thing as your intake wasnt affected for the weekend. In fact you made money from a Wotif booking. Instead you decide to be thieving cowards that stand behind a clause in online bookings. The very thing that provides you with revenue. I guess we will see how the ACCC feels about it.But I would recommend to everyone else not to stay here, you will be disappointed. When you checked in and only their was only two people in your party, it raised questions about your booking. Wotif’s system record two seperate booking to which two seperate confirmation emails and confirmation numbers were emailed through to you for the bookings. As the booking agent, they manage all payments and refunds directly. While we completely understand your concern, we are bound by the terms of their platform and must follow their procedures when bookings are made through them.We sincerely regret that this situation impacted your celebration and will reach out to Wotif again on our end to ensure they are aware of your feedback. We always strive to provide transparent, fair service, and we’re sorry that this experience left a negative impression.We appreciate you sharing your thoughts—it helps us improve communication with our guests and booking partners in the future.

    Very quiet accommodation, conveniently located near the CBD and reasonably priced.Comfortable bed and very clean room.Unobtrusive staff who are ready to help, if required.24hr Kmart just across the road, with a Coles supermarket and Liquorland, as well as a cafe and other shops.
